Alright, anyone else in this region experience the huge storm that just passed by? It started at roughly 2 p.m. central time yesterday and now just finally let up. I don't even think my cav can make it out of the driveway...
But I must say that when I had to drive in it (long story) the cav handled pretty well
Anyone else coping with this?
Well I put on my snow tires on and have been going around like nothing is on the road at all... I love my Yoko Ice & Snow tires. If you don't have good about of tread on your are not going anywhere. I've been plowing the roads with my car with the sportline drop on it.
still snowing here, left my buddies this morning around 10 and he had 9" when we measured before he cracked out the blower.
roads are crappy but not bad if you drive with your head out of your ass, which a few people apparently could not do.
burb helps as well
yeah, burbs work wondes. It's just strange because out of the cars at my family's home, mine is the best suited for winter. Grand Prix, oldsmobile 88, and my cavy haha
As far as tire tread goes, I just have all-seasons. But now the snow is drifting. And since this part of Indiana doesn't use salt........fun times are in the future
my car was parked on the side of the garage and theres a big snow drift up to my mirrors..lol so i said @!#$ it and im letting her sit

Here where I'm at they have a Level 3 snow emergency for our county since noon eastern time. Level 3 = roads are closed, and you can be arrested being on them. Still gonna go to work later tonight though. I'm in maintenance and last year none of us were there when we had the same kinda weather and a bunch of @!#$ happened that needed some of us there. Basically, someone brought a truck into our maintenance shop instead of leaving it outside. This froze our water system (we're not on city water) and busted the @!#$ out of all the plumbing to it cuz the cock sucker left the door open next to the water system. Claimed it wouldn't close (even though there's a chain to manually close the door there). So to prevent a ton of work for the next month, just gonna go it.
Typically the cops seem to leave you alone as long as you dont A) wreck or B) get stuck and be in anyones way.
yeah i remember that storm..horible

read up...Level 3 snow emergency means you can't be on state roads. I passed a sheriff last year in a level 3, he did nothing
hmm... we got about 10 inches yesterday.
i went for a drive through the neighbourhood and then through the empty college parking lots.
it was fun
the high school parking lot is the way to go, no lightposts, and its pretty huge
I'm not exactly sure how much we got down here, but it was a lot. I need to take a pic of the cav buried, but I don't have a camera lol
