Ive been in contact with Jon from DD, he is in need of pictures and an article. If it comes down to it I will write an article for us but would rather have someone who has more writing experience than myself. I am a college student and have plenty of other essays but I wont not let an article be in DD for the 07 Tunerbash. So please contact me if you can write an article if you were there. Check previous articles for some ideas on how the articles should be wrote (not on the partying but on the events and races)
Please email pictures to myself at
DICE033@aol.com they must be high res. Or you can email Jon directly at
contact@domesticdriver.com
Let me know if anyone is interested in writing the article so I dont write one as well.
If anyone has the trophy winner list with some info about the car it would be great as well

Here is the article written for Domestic Driver would anyone like to add anything to it last minute?
GM Small Car Tuner Bash
July 27th-28th
Ashland Ohio
The Tuner Bash started out a few years ago with great success. With such a great crowd, how could something like that ever be bad? In 2006, the Tuner Bash was cancelled due to a low pre-registered amount of cars. But in 2007 a well-known J-body community member known as Paul Ghedhill (Drop Top Paul), took the even over to make sure it would happen this year.
The event was reconstructed from scratch, thankfully well put together for a first time event planner. The Tuner Bash consisted of a car show Friday July 27th and ¼ drag races Saturday, the 28th. With a total turn out over 90 cars including everything from an Ecotec Powered Pontiac Fiero to some of the fastest naturally aspirated Chevy Cavaliers. Even though the event was based around all compact GM cars it was dominated by j-bodies of all sorts. Some of the fastest boosted, including Brian Wisniewski, known as SpeedRacerZ, ran a 12.7@113mph with his Turbo-Powered LD9 Cavalier.
Even with the great group of people and cars it was not a perfect weekend. The car show was cut short due to extreme weather. Winds gusted up to 60+mph enough to rip a tree apart. A handful of the cars at the event were damaged as well. Everything from tree branches to shingles off the hotel were flying around during what was described as "Mini-Tornado and Hurricane like Weather." Despite the bad weather the races still went on Saturday.
Because of the high humidity and drizzly weather, the morning racing was put off until the early afternoon. Racing commence at Dragway 42 around 1pm and went well into the afternoon. After a handful of practice runs the quick 8 races for the naturally aspirated and boosted groups. The boosted group got most the attention as some of the drivers ran personal bests despite the high humidity and temperature.
Overall the event was a complete success, even with a smaller turnout than normal. Everyone had a great time and cannot wait until next year as the expected turn out is likely to double. Thanks to Paul, The Holiday Inn, and Dragway 42 for the great time. If you would like more information please check out www.GMTunerbash.com

Should probably read:

Agreed since this event has no real connection to to GMSC or J-Body Bash.
The layout is complete so we won't be needing anything else

2007 GM Tuner Bash Runner Up - Broken Pressure Plate
#1 Qualifer 13.857 @ 101.49
Way to late. Also we don't include lists of winners of events usually. With some of the events we cover the list would get very long!
