1997 Pontiac Sunfire GT
5-Speed Manual Transmission
135,000 miles on body
This car has been so much fun, but money is getting tight and I need some $$$ before I go back to school. The car has been sitting for 3 months now driven only when I get the itch to. This car made me want to get into the J-body scene and to join J-BOM. I KNOW I could part this out and get most of my money back out these parts, but I want to try to sell this as a whole real cheap daily drivable starter car for someone. This would also be a kick ass drag car project too. Buy this car part it out, make money off of this deal and have a car to drive if you want to (go ahead find the prices for all of these parts, im not kidding). The car ran a 15.41 sec. ¼ mile before the new trans, clutch, flywheel, cams, and pulley. I know this has at least a 14.9 sec. Run in it. If I had the time to tack it to the track I would. (Maybe I will, just to see)

wow this is realllly tempting...... although i dont have the money to toss on a car i dont absolutely need!! right now, but it is really freaking tempting.
any "issues"?? what are the "bads"
what do you plan to do with it if you cant sell it?? keep it probably?
There are no major issues with this car, no body damage, no rust ,might need some TLC to be perfect tires are 55%. The car runs/drives fine, a little lope from ther cams, not major.I Just changed the rear brakes and they make a little noise.
INFO: ""Spare 2.4 Block and head (Free)"" has a bad bearing..... just an FYI this spare motor was origanally in this car... when the bearing went , I found and regasketed the engine thats in it know.
Background:
I only have about 700 miles on this motor, I was easy on it for about 400 of that, then I had to fully test it out. I loved it. I wasn’t used to the cams (the sounds). I originally thought that when I put this motor back together I messed up putting the head gasket on or something, because of the occasional faint light colored exhaust I would get for a second on cold starts, but now don’t think it’s a big deal.

by e-check you mean like car-fax or something... honestly I couldnt tell ya, i mean its a 10 year old car that ive had for like 3 years. I can only be sure of the stuff ive done to it. The car is with me and running fine, thats all i know. but if would like to actually do this i dont have a problem with it PM me.
Since I'm a non-posting lurker - I don't expect anybody to really trust my word with the same enthusiasm as they would trust a known regular....... but FWIW I have spoken with LP about this car and he is absolutely forthright about every single thing on the car. He couldn't have possibly been MORE informative and was extremely patient with all of my stupid noobie questions.
If you have concerns about the car, well I can't help you out with that, but if you have concerns about the seller, I'd say, based on my experience, not to.
Here's a bump to the top for an honest seller.
Peace,
John
anyone showing interest in this?
some interest, but its still not sold. and I really need to get rid of it too.
no one is interested in this
atleast u made money on the spare parts
well you know im interested.... just not in the postion to be able to have two cars at once.
