i purchased his VIS oem cf hood for $180.00 shipped. a 95-99 5spd shifter bezel w/ pw and a graghite headliner w/ sunroof cutout for $60.00 shipped.
he stayed in very well contact with me via email throughout the whole transaction. we talked a few times on msn messenger, and even once on the phone.
he always seemed very anxious for the deal to go through, but i didnt quite have the funds right away. when i did come up with them i sent 2 seperate money orders in an envelope immediatly. he originally wanted to use western union, why i do not know-i said i wasnt interested in using that and would be MORE than willing to send a money order. about a week went by after i sent funds and he kept claiming that it had'nt came yet and that if it didnt get there soon he would be selling the hood to someone else. basically, this got me going and i kept sending him emails saying payment had been sent, i even went so far as to send him a picture of the money order stubs:
he will not answer ANY emails, wont answer his phone for me and has basically dropped off the face of the planet. its really pissing me off, been about a week since the last email i got from him stating he hadnt recieved funds as of yet. like i said, we kept in very good contact before i sent the money orders, then all of a sudden he's gone? i dont think so.
So, with all that being said, is there anybody here that knows this guy? im hoping that somebody does and can get ahold of him to ask whats up with the transaction.
I would appreciate any and all help with this matter!

If I were you, go to the post office and order the money order confirmations for both of the MOs. This will show you whether or not they were cashed. If not, you can get your money back that way. If they were, you will be sent an image of the signature that was signed to the money order.

mr pute- i was going to do JUST that today, but when i got some time off a work to run down there the frickn offices part of it was closed for lunch

well guys, bad news. just went to the post office to run a trace on the money orders and no dice. they said you have to wait 60 days before you can run it, and by then... uhm yeah, this guy could already be moved into a different place or skipped town or something.
so, i guess since the mother @!#$ hasnt replied to my emails since i made this post, and 9 times out of 10 i call his phone it goes straight to voice mail and the one time it does actually ring, it does 2-3 times and then goes straight to voice mail... i need some help.
what would be a better course of action here? should i have matt and friends go give the guy a visit, or should i call the police? matt.. dont get me wrong, id love to hear about the 'visit' but is it the right way of handling this? ive been screwed over before by ppl on the classifieds and have called the local PD n left several messages and they never called me back, so idk if that will be the case here or not.
god this really sucks, i dont think im going to be buying from ppl on the classifieds any longer unless i know them on here real well.
Have you tried blocking your number when you've called?
I dont know about the laws real well to call his local PD, but that woulldnt be a bad Idea.. YOu have tons of proof so Id say give it a shot.
I wish I knew what he looked like, im sure he'd be at the big Import Fest here on Sunday..

worst comes to worse to go small claims court and make a bench warrant for him. You have all the proof you need. Emails, MO's proof of multiple contacts. Go and talk to a clerk and they should help you set up a case. Worst case scenario you get your money back. Works here in findlay so maybe it will work there...

I find that when something like this happens the bust course of action is to use a portable nail gun to shoot 10" studs into all doors of the offenders dwelling around 3am then throw incendiary grenades through the windows.

call the cops. had the same thing happen to me on ebay (with a different person though) after i got a hold of the cops a week later i got the hood and my money back scared the @!#$ outta the guy i guess

all right, i contacted the zanesville, pd. they said i need to file a report with my local PD here and then they will be contacted.
since it really has only been 11 days since i sent the money orders out, i think im possibly jumping the gun a tad with this deal, something honestly could have happened to this guy where he wouldnt be able to conact me back, hell he may have even sent the items already for all i know. so im going to wait a while before i file a report just to be safe.
but, matt... i would really appreciate it if you could go check on things for me, if of course its not too much trouble. i dont want him harmed in any way, but i would like him to realize im not going to roll over and forget the money i sent him.
You are not jumping the gun IMO,better to be safe than sorry.When I have sold things I almost always let the person know that the items have been shipped.If he is not answering calls and e-mails then it may mean something,it may not.BTW always use Paypal,it's insured.Good luck brad.
