Well my car has been down for a month now waiting on paint, but due to financial reason and a buddy of mine not being able to receive any for me, I don't have any yet... So I have to say that it is a good possibility that I am going to miss the GM Small car bash in Mansfield, Oh this year. I would of liked to see the car run the 1/4 mile especially in front of all the GM cars and see the others cars too. But I doubt that I am going to be able to make the bash when I have only two weeks left and still no paint. So you guys run them hard, fast and show them off.... AND of course have fun... And I will see the columbus J's when you guys get back
that's a shame man.....post up some pics of this car though, sounds sick!
I have a post on here somewhere with the pics and stuff it says "trucavss is on the streets" or something like that
if it runs bring it anyways...believe me....if ya got a 3.8 in there NO ONE's gonna poke fun. you'll miss out on all the fun and ya DON'T wanna do that i promise

since when does a car need paint to come to a bash? have you ever SEEN pics of previous bashes? lol.... Dude, if that thing runs, get it out there. If you've already got it stripped down to bare metal or something, then maybe i could understand not bringing it, but as long as its got some primer or something on there, bring it on down. The bash isn't about who has the prettiest/fastest/coolest car, its about coming out and getting to meet in person and chill out with the people on here that you BS with all the time and party and have a good time. Hell, this'll be the second time a bash has rolled around where my J wasn't running and I still go anyway. I even went to 2 bashes before I even OWNED a J-body, and the first one I attended is what made me search out my 87 Z24. Trust me dude, its worth coming out whether the car is finished or not, especially if you're relatively close to it. I'm in east Jersey and I still make the trip.

I'm disappointed.
I would have liked to have the chance to line the 3400 Cav up against a 3800 S/C cav. Make it if you can man!
Devon will bring this car, ill make him.. Plus, I have paint for him so he's coming so everyone can see this beast.. Ill drive both mine and his if he dont come..........................somehow hehe.

Well I will think about it. I don't yet. I will let you guys know... But I don't think its goin to make it
get him david!!!
Eh paint just adds weight anyway....
If it's not painted by next week, just throw it together and just make the drive to the bash
Well guys we will see what happens, I may have caught a break. Thanks David
Look at the bright side of things though. If you drive it there with no paint, then you dont have to worry about getting all those bugs splattered all over your new paint job. That's a plus.
Lol true bugs are a pain in the ass aren't they? We will see what happens.
dude.....youre in columbus. the bash is right next door to you! if the car runs, BRING IT!
^^EXACTLY ha.. I told him, he'd regret it!!

Dont hustle to get it done. Really, take the time to do it right the first time so you dont have to go back and fix it. drive it in primer or whatever shape its in. trust me there are a lot of worse cars out there that showed up or will show up that are hideous. it happens.
bring it anyway.
Well the first coat was sprayed friday night and turned out good. David came over today and helped me finish the rest of the wet sanding. Just got to tac rag it tomorrow to get all of the dust and dirt off then we are spraying it again. Hopefully the paint sets up good on the car this time cause if it does we are goin to clear it tuesday night and let it bake until this saturday then I am putting everything back on the car.... And driving it to my meet at NTB. Then bringin it home and let it bake again till the j-bash
Ok well its getting there laid to more coats on the car tonight. And this paint is SWEET!!!!! I gotta wet sand tomorrow with 2500 grit sandpaper. And get this thing smooth. Then clear/paint mix tuesday night. Then wet sanding again wedsnesday night then final clear coat on wednesday night. Then buffing on friday night.... Driving to the meet at my job at NTB saturday then bringin it back to bake until friday, then off to the GM BASH in mansfield, ohio. 3800 supercharged cavalier WILL be there
