Hi all....I am planning a trip to Cedar Point next month with the g/f.....I was wondering what hotels in the area are nice enough for me to get a good nights' sleep and not worry about the "J" getting messed with.....All comments & feedback would be greatly appreciated....Thanks in advance

When I went, I stayed in the hotel on the island.

You get private beach access.
Beautiful views of the park and Lake Erie
Private entrance to park

We also stayed in the historical rooms. Which cost more, but I like knowing that the room I am in, is over 100 years old, and still standing!

if you can...go to CP during the week, lines are a LOT smaller, and you'll get a better oppurtunity to ride all the rides! Let me know when you go, I live only an hour away and my work just gave me 2 passes so i can go whenever...

We went last weekend, we stayed at the cabins on site just outside Soak City. You get free parking and you are allowed to enter 1 hour early to start riding rides.

The cost was $300 for 1 night. BUT you can fit 6-8 people in the cabin. So the more the cheaper the room is. We rode

MAVERICK, Millenium Force, Mantis and The Power Tower all before 10am when the park opens!

RIDE THE MAVERICK 1ST! IT IS A BLAST!

There are a lot of decent hotels in the area, I should know, I grew up in the Sandusky area. PM me and when you come up I'll show you around.

when we go down to CP I usually like to stay at the East Harbor state park about 15 minutes away.

I stayed at hotel breakers which also allows you in an hour before the park opens.Which the beach is behind the hotel and the park in front.

East harbor is the shiz. If you have the cash, go for Kalahari, it's the nicest place in Sandusky. If not, 90% of the hotels on the strip are cool. Just remember, traffic on 250 is bumper to bumper in the AM hours. Also, on the weekends, you have trouble with the bikers coming out of the HD on 250

UPDATE.....Looks like we will be staying at the Breakers Express.....We plan on going to the park on July 31st & August 1 (Tuesday & Wednesday)....If anyone wants to meet up and hang out for the day....that would be cool....I am a roller coaster buff so I plan on getting in as much riding/air time as possible....Thanks for all the comments guys & gals....

Excellent, you won't be disappointed. Like I said, if you want a tour of the area, or want an easier way to get around town, let me know. I can even show you a few choice places to eat if you have the urge to avoid the fast food joints.

shoot me a PM for my number and we'll hook up when you come by.
