A more accurate observation has never been typed. These should be the starting points before any serious performance modification. What's the point of making a serious performer if you can't control it's power?

Also, I am willing to sell the car complete for what I owe on it with all parts included, its a 2001 Cavalier Z24 w. 60k miles, Auto, Lots of Aftermarket parts, Good Tires, Tinted Windows, Shaved Locks and Ant. and other stuff, If you can paint and do basic body work the car could be finished cheap, I owe 6500 on it. Just thought I would throw that out there. Otherwise it would just be parted out and traded in.

Eric, Is your Trunklid now all effed up, because ill have to use that on my car as a trade in, if not, and you do 350 like you said and meet halfway and I can use your old one if its it good shape I will as long as I have a way to get there, the cav is out of comission right now, there is a big hole in the break fluid resivoir and the peddle jsut falls, so I cant drive it
Stephen and Jason, I know that sometimes I get frustrated, and try to part it out, but I took a step back and realized that my car and spending money on it was taking too much of my life/income, and decided it has to stop, I didnt buy a bed to sleep on because I wanted to get wheels. So yeah, this hobby has to stop till I can afford it.
YellowCav, the headlights and corners are taken for this weekend, if that doesnt work out, and then Pushrods has dibs and it fhat doesnt work out, I will let you know

thats kinda my point though. sell it all now for 1/4 what you got it and then your starting over in a year or two when things are better, just keep what you have, dont do more stuff. pay off what u need to pay off, get settled then go back to working on it. when i moved to indy we didnt touch the car for two years and then when we were settled and into the house we started working on it again and could start off right where we left off. what your doing now is just going to cost you allot more in the long run. dont mean to intentionally be harping on you but ive just seen it so many times on here that people just start selling stuff cause their broke, then 6 months later they are spending more money on it, then they sell the stuff when they get broke again and they never get anything accomplished. just keep the car as is and drive it, and then when things are better all you have to do is paint the thing.

I agree 100% with Jason, Jeff take it from someone that has been there before and is comming out of it now look at all the little stuff that Ive done to my car. My car has done more changes in the last 9 month than in the past 3 yrs that is because I dont let it get in the way of life yea its fun and like most people on here my car will never be done but I will keep it even though a couple of times I was redy to push it off a cliff, and Ive got plenty of time to do it in cause if got the rest of my familys life ahead of me and I can work on the car untill its gone or im gone. If you buy a new car in the situation that your in youll screw your self harder in the end trust me I did the same thing with my old car and was still paying on it 1yr after I sold it (Busted tansmition sucks). All we are tring to say is dont bite off mor than you can chew. Youll be happier in the long run, cause those that wait will end up with what they want.

I def. understand what you guys are saying and I hate it myself, but I havent been happy with the car in over a year, ever since it was primered, and every day family tells me to get rid of it and do something else that I can enjoy stock, and after the way its been I wanna take their advice, I have to stop spending money on mods, and the only way to do that is to get rid of it all together and get something nice and stock that I can enjoy instead of work on all the time.
