I'm thinking about selling the cavi. I have to get 2 older cars because my fiance is without one at the moment and bills are piling up quick. I just can't afford this car if i am gonna get another one. There are 2 ways i can do this. One way is to outright sell it. My payoff is $11,800 and that simply is because it has another 5 years left on the bumper to bumper warranty. The easier way is to have someone take over my loan. As far as my knowledge goes, this is the easier way to keep the warranty... I have very little experience in selling cars so bear with me here. My dad is helping me sell it.
Car details are as follows:
2004 cavalier LS Sport 4 dr sedan (BLUE).
25k miles.
all mint except for a crack in the rear tail light cover when a rock kicked up and hit it.
runs and drives perfectly.
just changed oil, oil filter, and air filter last week.
I have used lucas oil fuel injector cleaner every oil change since i got it.
No modifications or tinkering done whatsoever with the engine or exterior except for cleaning and powerwashing the engine and wash & wax.

The car is literally brand new and it's been a great car to me. I just have to go another route this time.
If ANYONE at all is interested PLEASE contact me! You have the choice of using whatever type of loan method you want. (if you are in fact interested) I used Glass City Federal Credit Union for my loan.

Never going to get $11,800 for it. Best bet is to get someone to take over the payments.
You will not get more than 9-9.5 grand out of it, probably more like 8-9 grand.

Yeah, like i said, they payoff is higher cause of the warranty. I am fully willing to have anyone take over the payments if interested. Please contact me if you are.

Keep in mind that this car is still a baby. only 25k miles. AND it has 5 years left on the bumper to bumper warranty. For the extra bit you have to pay, you get a low milage car, and a great warranty signed over. My payments are $290.

when i bought my 2004 brand new with 4 miles on it thats it, my payments were only 115 , and now i just bought a 2003 dodge ram got my daily driver and my payments are only 220, man i dont think someone is going to go for 290 a month, but good luck..its def a nice car
i own nothing on my 04!!
2004 Turbo cavalier 11PSI and blown!
I understand it's a bit high but the best they could approve me for was 10.99% when i bought it. I rolled over some money i owed on my truck when i got it too. THAT much i payed off already and then some. For someone who doesn't have a lot of credit or good credit for that matter, $290/mo is a decent deal for a good car with a good warranty. If someone wants to buy it outright, you can finance it through whichever orginization you want with a lower interest rate. Otherwise, i'm gonna have to trade this in on a lease for a car i may not even want to get this off my back.

Noone's gonna go for that dude. Dealerships arent even making that much on an 04 Cav.
J-bodies with loans are a good example of "negative equity".
Well, i guess it's worthless then. At least tell me if you think it's a decent idea to trade this in on a lease. At least then, i can get this negative equity off my back in 2-3 years instead of waiting 5 years to pay this darn thing off. Then i can get a new 2007 car.

you could get into a brand new cobalt for that price.... a 3 year old cavalier no matter what the miles is insane for the price.
You're stuck and are most likely going have to roll over the difference again to another car or two cars(trade cav in on 2 cheaper cars) and still be upside down on it.
Yeah man like I said above $11,800 is insane.
The most I'd drop for it is $7000
Also my car is an 04 to by the way and has around 37,000 so it isnt much less of a new car than yours

the only smart thing you can do is keep it and pay it off, you will keep going deeper in debt
