i am having some issues, is there anyone that could lend me a hand or that has some know how before i drop this thing off at the shop, i have a 03 cav with a ecotec, i woke up tuesday and when i started it the motor was real shakey , i ran the scan tool on it, it says I have multiple cylinders misfiring, i replaced the plugs, the crank position sensor, and took the calve cover off, all looks well under there, the only other things i can thing are the coil, module, or computer is bad, if anyone has one around columbus what im looking for is just one to plug in and see if thats the problem then if it fixes the problem i will find what i need, is anyone willing to stop by with a couple spare parts and see if this makes my car run good, some help would be much appreciated, i have a good set of steeles I will give to who ever stops by, please help me out asap, repost or call me at 614-989-2836
i had this problem yesterday it was the (Ignition Module: 12580215 $97.00 list fits 2000-2006 L61)
i wish i had one i could try before i buy it because if thats not it im out 97 bucks
find some one in you area with an ecotec and ask if you could try theres
Damn I wish I had an Eco to help, but I think Cake is right. I wish I could help man. Why don't we ever see you around here? I would love to help, but I don't think I can help much cause I have no spare Eco stuff yet.
im not around much, as I have the bike and I just got a new 4 wheelr, so the cav hasnt been getting as much attention as it used to, i still like it but with a 10 second bike and new 4 wheeler i habeen doin much but using it as a daily driver, but yeah i am trying to find someone around columbus that would help me out with this module by letting me use theirs for a second to see if it makes it run good, i hate to spend 100 on it and that not be the problem
Well sometimes you can take stuff back to autozone. You can just tell them you didn't use it if it doesn't fix it. I would go with I got new plugs first and it fixed it.
autozone didnt stock it or i was gonna try it, they said they couldnt even get the part
