Last time I was at Fenton auto salvage they had a few 2.4's, not sure on the mileage though.

Keep in mind the engine in that car is wired for a 2000-2002 2.4 (the knock sensors were different) and I can't recall what else. However it should be easier to find than the 96-99 2.4 with low mileage. It may be worthwhile to check out
