Whats up, would anybody happen to have a 4spd axle laying around that they don't need and will sell? I need the passenger side.. I've bought and returned 4 axles from advanced autoparts and napa and none of them fit.. 1 of them were even from a 97 4spd out of a grand am.. Nope, won't fit.. I don't understand it.. This is the only thing keeping my car from hitting the pavement..

Central CIty auto on the west side has 4 of them in stock.. Im gonna bo buy the 97 and 2000 one and see if either of those will work.. Wish me luck

do you have pics of what is not fitting right? I had this issue with a new tranny once and it turned out a part of the old axle was still inside the tranny and had to come out to make room for the new one.
^^ The splines on the end of the axles have not been the right size or whatever.. None of them matched. up.. Its funny, I can fit my 2.2 axle in there with no problems.. but its too long to actually go into the hub.. I need the 2.4 axle with the exact same splines as my 2.2 one..

i dunno about all that but its got a bit more pep
i was about to tell you there's a removable spline that goes in the axle and you usually have to transfer it to the new axles...and for the record...don't buy axles from advance, they're junk, they go bad in a year or 2 get a GM one
Paul do you have any extra axles layin around? What does the spline look like that im supposed to transfer? All i put on the axle is the c clip that was on the end that goes into the axle.. Now im begining to think my axle isnt in all the way because it makes a noise when I just shift while idling...
I need a damn 2.4 car to reference from lol
