Is there anyone located in west michigan that does engine work?
I'm looking for a new set of cams, and a new intake/ throttle body.
Anyone in Mi or upper indiana is cool, I just hate going to the local mechanics for performance work, and I'm moving to Grand Rapids next week, so I wont' know anyone there to do work on my car,
Are you looking for mechanic specific people, or are you accepting people that just know about cars. also, what part of grand rapids are you moving to?
I'm looking for people that know how to do more than I do, which is just very basic stuff. I want to get the harder things done to my car before I get the easier things like an Air intake and catback system done.
I'm moving to the NW side of Grand Rapids, near Leonard and Remembrance. I'll be in a good spot to get anywhere in the city, and I won't be too far from the GVSU campus when I start going back to school.
check out
WestMichiganRides that is a club that me and my friends all started up. we get together to hang out, and a few of us love to work on cars, and would be more then willing to help out. let me know what you think. the club is only a few months old so were just getting started, but we have a blast hanging out.
I'm moving there on Tuesday, but if you guys have anything planned for Saturday, let me know, I'm going to be home that day setting things up, and I'm sure I'll be more than happy to take a break while I'm doing it. I'd also be more than happy to meet new people since I'm moving there and will know absolutely nobody until some friends come in for college in the fall.
hey if you don't have aim, download it and we can talk more on that, that way i can let you know whats going on.
I'm working lot the next few days, then I won't have internet for a few until it gets set up at the new place, but here you go:
Aim: Arryl1
Yahoo: Kemian_am
I'm on the SE side. Cascade and Forest Hill road.
I can help with many different things.
As for a machine shop, I just run up to Napa. Decent prices and good work.
Their regional HQ is on Paterson just south of 28th.
For tranny work I recomend Bob's on Plainfield.
Still looking for
good exhaust and body shops.

i didn't make it, i don't know what is planned for saturday (other then cars that is), so i might actually make it out saturday night. Doug i'll give you a call and let you know whats going on with me and my club, and maybe we'll all just go down to sears, or maybe do something else.
hey mike gless, email me with your aim address (if you don't have one you should get one) and we can talk more about meeting up.
Hey CTS, do you have an OBDII scanner?
My Check engine light just popped on yesterday. I wanted to see what it was, and I don't really know where anything is yet, I still have to see if there is an Autozone or advanced auto parts around here.
I have a scanner, and their are lots of autozones and advance's around. you have my #, so if you ever want to stop by and use it just give me a call and stop by.
You're awesome, I'll give you a call tonight, I should be getting out of work around 7ish. If it's not cool, just don't answer.
hey glad to have helped you out tonight. hopefully you can make it saturday night to the drag strip with everyone.
Goal is to make my N/A Auto faster then a manual without doing engine internals
