If your wiring harness needs replaced... SELL CAR
Sunday, February 19, 2006 11:53 PM
so whoever had this car before me slaughtered the wiring harness putting in their car alarm. so when i went in to get my viper 2-way installed, they told me it wouldnt happen. long story short, decided to replace the entire wiring harness behind the dash... biggest pain in the ass EVER...couldnt get the car to start after 24+ hours of actually working on the car (three days worth).... here are some pics.....

the reason we spent over 24 hours on the car is cuz it wouldnt start, come to find out, ignition wires werent making contact... then my battery died from all the times we tried to start it... could prob do it all again with my eyes closed now *JBO ... next to go in, pillar pod with my 2 new autometer cobalt gauges!!!

i have a 1999 z24, i work at best buy and i had an audio system (deck, amps, sub, all new monster cable wiring etc.) and a viper remote start/keyless installed. the first guy installed my remote start, installed the theft lock over ride and once he was done he couldnt get my car to start. so it was sitting back there in the install bay for an hour. Some how he restarted the system and i wasnt suposed to remote start the car other wise it would seize up again and not start. Second guy fixed it, the first installer wired the theft lock over ride wrong. A friend of mine who has a 1998 Chevy Lumina had the same exact thing happen to her car at Best Buy.
