Isn't this comminuist goverment wonderful??

thats the way it is at my parents house, all vehicles outside of a structure must be in driving condition and be tagged at all times.
the township guy came over when my parents were building the garage (thus it was parked outside on a sunny day), and told my dad that his original 1967 VW Type 1 had to be removed from the property due to it being a junk car (it is all original, daily driven, not a hint of rust, just the factory paint is faded after 38 years), and if he didnt it would be a fine and it would be towed for him at his expense.
Needless to say, the lawyer that my mom worked for wrote the township a letter about harrassment of people abiding by the law.
The car is now garaged in the workshop in it's own personal space, and the township doesn't bother my parents anymore

It's not that we have a commy gov. but the people that have been elected are commy bastards! They only way to stop things like this is to do what Gary is tying to do or not elect those people that tell us their our buddy (dems). If you live in the W.V. I would write to them.
We have that same type of law in Green twp. out side of cincy and they towed my buddies yoda that was only 2 inches off the ground on a wheel lift. Bastards!

Yes it is the ones elected in, but the whole government wants to be in controll of everything we do. hence the communist remark. They tax the hell out of us, give all the whores that spread their legs money for making babies just for a check. (welfare) Womem that don't love their children, just having them to get more money a month. They should put into effect some bull@!#$ law that they can only have two children max on welfare. But no, they mess with us working class that have a project vehicle setting in our yard, and tell us that we must get it tagged, or hide it just so they can get MORE money from us.
Hell, I seen on CNN yesterday that methadone clinic's was gonna try a new thing for crack heads and pill heads that come in to the clinic clean, they are gonna give them a damn voucher, that they can save up and every time they come in clean they get another one. Then they can take the vouchers and buy tv and computers and other @!#$ just for being on drugs. Yes the COMMINUIST GOVERNMENT IS BULL@!#$!

Isn’t that all just BS? We need to look at the people in the government that make this their agenda and not vote for them. "Government" is just a word. We get rid of this government we just going to put another on in its place. It never left. If you want to look at bush as the government that would be better. I support the majority of what he has been doing but that my own view.
One thing I respectfully do not understand is when people say I am going to move because things are not going the way I want them to. This is the best country in the world! Not because of the government but the people. We need too have the attitude that were going to fix this instead of abandoning the ship.
We start with the people that we elect and tell them that we do not approve of the job their doing and there gone. You talk to the community and be active in it. This would mean going to meetings and talking to neighbors. This is also about talking to the next generation (high school) about what is really going on in the world.
The media is so full of miss information and a single group’s agenda and their not focused on what is good for the country down the road. Moreover, people eats up what the news outlets are feeding them.
It is clear that our parents’ generation did not look at the long term but the short term and now we are forced to deal with it. Have dialogs like this make people aware of other points of view and realize that we do have the power to change. However, in a society of drive thru's and instant this and that we want change to happen right now, but that just is not going to happen. We should be discouraged but keep writing and talking but most importantly...Listening.
Gary's push might be a little one but every little law that our legislator passes limits our rights just that much more. The bill of right is what we tell the government what it can and cannot do.
I can go on forever because this is something I think about all the time and I welcome other people views.

I think thr whole government in a whole is a effin juke! I wish it would go back to an "eye for an eye". There would be ALOT less crime and petty bs going on. As for bush, the majority of what he has done I agree with. But I don't agreee with all this crap overseas. Innocent American lives are being lost every day because of what?????? Bush wants to be the dictator. To hell with rebuilding everything we tore up over there. And to hell with teaching them how to fight. I wish bush was over there or had a son or daughter over there. It would deff be different then.

Republican poloticians are just as bad as democrats. Bush is a @!#$ moron.
Heck here in Toledo Ohio it's illegal to work on your own car in your own driveway although the police rarely enforce it, it's ok if your working on the car in the garage though. Homeowners associations are just as bad too; my cousin recently had a run in with his block's HOA president, aparently it's illegal to have cars parked in his driveway. They threatened to have any vehicle towed away that's not parked in his garage so be sure to read every sentence in the contract even if it's 25 pages long before you agree to buy a house.
In MI it's already illegal to have an inoperable vehicle in your driveway. This is nothing new to many people around here. It's only ever enforced if neighbors complain.
Quit with all the Commie labels, that's ridiculous. You have to see their point of view too. Someone probably abused his property by dumping way too much crap around it. So they came up with a law (this one) to counteract it.
The law needs to be modified. Most people agree that you don't want your neighbors next door dumping 10 burnt-out cars, 5 refrigerators, a toiler or two, and a stove on their front lawn, where everyone will see it every single day. So how would you write a law to prevent people like that, while excluding people like us, who might have a parts car (out of plain view)??
Saying that you're not allowed to have ONE inoperable vehicle in your yard is no where near saying that you can't have a bunch of junk in your yard. I think that they shouldn't be as strict with it as to say that you can't have one untagged vehicle in your driveway. No one wants to see a pile of junk in anyone's yard...but there's a difference between the two.

Exactly my point. So instead of unproductively complaining about it, how about you come up with a better alternative. (I'm not trying to say it's your personal responsability to rewrite the law, just that people in general seem to like to compalin about things without coming up with better alternatives).
The problem for the law makers is that they can't write "You can't have a pile of junk in your yard" because each person's interpertation wuold have a different limit. So you need to come up with some objective limit; none happens to be the easiest and most objective limit.
