ok i have an 02 ls sport with an ecotec. I have a cat-back-setter exhaust , a high flow cat, and a pacesetter header. my problem is my exhaust isn't as deep sounding as i was hoping. its still loud but with more of a wined sound to it does anyone have any suggestions on how to make it deeper/louder. oh were i live in Ohio i have an admissions check so i still need my lame cat

what is a resonator? what does it do I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with it.. Do you know how much one would cost and were i could get one?

You can find them real cheap on ebay. A common one is a Cherry Bomb Glasspack. After the resonator is installed however, you'll get a little raspiness for a few weeks, it goes away as the fibreglass inside get's "burned in".

how would i set that up if I already have an after market exhaust? I had a cherry bomb on my old talon that my girlfriend has and it is alot deeper. but would i put the glass pack on with the muffler or take it off and just run the glass pack? also Andrew is that your cavalier in the picture what all mods do you have done to make it run a 15.3?
also would I lose any power with the glass pack?
no you wont lose any power, just go to a muffler shop and tell them to install the longest resonator they can fit after you cat. leave the muffler you have on now, just have them weld a resonator onto the pacesetter aftercat. itll sound a ton better, lots deeper
will that pass ohio admissions check?
only one way to find out, and i would assume, because i don't know, that if it fails with the res that it would fail the way it is now
