hey guys I'm new to j-body but i thought this would be a good place to get some advice.. I'm looking to turn my cavy into a show and turn it into somewhat of a racer to bet my dad and uncles mustang.. my dads currently running a 13.1 in his 03 Mach1 my uncle has a 1966 with a 351 not sure what that runs but heres a list of my mods so far
2002 ls sport 5spd ecotec
aem intake
pacesetter exhaust
pacesetter header
ya its short but hey you gotta start somewhere right?
future mods
bigger throttle body
mas air flow sensor
bigger fuel injectors
maybe a bigger cam haven't really looked into that
nicer looking body kit it already has the z24 ground effect package
b&m short throw shifter
1-2inch drop
right now thats all i can think of off the top of my head if anyone wants to give me some advice please let me know what i can do thank you
good luck trying to get a cavalier to run quicker than 13.1
not trying to be mean... but its a lot harder than you'd think you run 12s in a cavalier.
also.. forget it being a show car if you want to run 12s. you wont run 12s with a glasses interior, full body kit, and big fancy wheels.
keep it stock lookin, the ls sport is a great looking cav to start. especially if you want to go fast. thats what im doing with mine. to break into the 12's your going to need boost and or spray. have fun with it.
about the turbo can someone explain what all i would need to do to have a turbo run properly on my car... i really don't know much about turbo/supercharger other then what the look like and what the do for your engine thank you.
