ebrake and trac light...please help
Sunday, November 06, 2005 11:55 AM
Ok I have an 03ls sport auto with 42,000 miles. I used my ebrake because I parked on a hill last night and i got in the car this morning and my Brake and traction lights are on. They shut off whenever i pull the ebrake again, but they come back on whenever i disengage the ebrake. I did a search, and no one specifically had this same problem as me, so anyone have any idea about whats going on? the car drives fine still, but I dont want my brakes to fail sometime. HELP!!!

your brakes arent going to fail, more than likely its bad wiring, bad ground somewhere....your brakes wont fail though..but if your trac lights on, more than likly your traction control isnt working.

This happened to me on my last car because my brake fluid was low. You might check that to see if it is filled all the way.

i took apart the middle console. i guess the jackass that i had park my car because i was too drunk to do so, pulled up too hard on it and he actually broke the clip to the ebrake sensor or something? i dno, i think thats what my husband said, so i guess he fixed it and now the light is off. thank you so much for the replies. =)
