I'm here in Cincinnati for the week and looking for things to do after work. Mostly simple things like good places to eat and possibly get a drink or two. I am staying in the Blue Ash area. In my driving around today, I didn't see anything interesting for food really. Mostly just chain restaurants that are in KC as well.
Any suggestions?
hmmm...if your into clubs there are a few...metropolis, red cheetah...some more down town. as far as bars...your best bet is to stay at the sports bars/grills around there...i know champs is there. ill keep brainstorming and post what i come up with
Clubs? Nah, think I am a bit too old for those these days (zero tolerance for cocky litte a-holes and screaming stupid drunk chics). I had my club days a while back.
Champs? I'll have to look it up to figure out where that is, I've been to one before and liked it. What I am really looking for is the hole in the wall places that have the good food. I want to avoid the big chains since I can eat at those anywhere I go. Know what I mean? For example, if you were to come to KC first place I would take you would be to get some BBQ. Either Gates, Zarda, or OK Joe's (it is in a gas station) for a taste of KC. You know the types of places that you don't exactly find anywhere else.
Try Newport on the levy? Or hafbrahouse (SP) across from that. It's usually a good time. What are you down here for? Family, Job, ?

Job. I work for Lab
One and I am up here doing some training at our Cincinnati location.
cincy has skyline...its a chili place. and larosas is a pizza place. larosas does serve beer i believe. i couldnt tell you about any bars that are good in that area.
Funny you mention Skyline....Ate lunch there yesterday actually. Ended up going back to my hotel sick by 3pm. Don't think I'll be eating there again while I am in town.
Newbe!
Yea up around blue ash there are the sports bars and stuff. other than the levy and kings island and some stuff downtown their ain't to to much. You just missed octoberfeast last weekend.

Now that makes me sad.
Then again, it would have just been too tempting to get wasted then I would have had to tried to figure out how to get back to my hotel.
Cincy Guys how far is he from Dave & Busters?
ZLiner just moved there a month or so ago, give him a call. It should be listed on the GMSCB forum...
I think Dave and Busters is just a bit to the West from where I am. I saw it on google maps last night. Fun place, just very easy to spend a crap load of cash.
Used to go to the one in Addison, TX with my last job. Blew through $50 over lunch.
Dave is here now? I'll have to try to give him a call then. I was sitting here thinking that everyone I know is either in Indiana or further North in Ohio.
His cell is disconnected.
Lemme see if I can find a # for ya...
I am actually kind of surprised at the lack of messed up looking cars here. Then again, I am primarly in business parks the entire time and not really paying attention. I am pimping around in a 2006 Impala....not a bad car really. Kind of bland, but nice. I keep finding myself speeding in it though. It likes to cruise at 70-80 while the speed limits tend to be 45 or 55. The roads are odd here having 25mph speed limits in what appears to be a busy road. Just odd.
i hear commiting drive by's is the thing to do in the nasty nati now...
...
D&B really isn't that far. maybe 10-15 mi at the most.
P.s. no, we only shoot dumb redneck's who have the balls to cross the state line
