Just a bit of information for those that live in the Northeastern part of Ohio, i just got the news that Steel Valley Nationals will no longer be held. This was the last year for it. Also there might not be anymore Swap Meets either. From what i heard the fairgrounds are charging more for events. SO......... the Mahoning Valley has offically become the valley of nothing.
Tell me about it. And they are also trying to get rid of all the cars shows at A&W and Chili's in boardman as well. If they do that, everyone in this area are going to be ticked.
I'm at a loss of words....
Nick, who is "they" you speak of? And why would "they" want to get rid of the shows at A&W and at Chilis? The people that frequent those shows are all adults, alot of them are retirees. Those shows are tradition in this area, and I highly doubt that "they" would want to rid of these shows. Think about it, its A&W that has organized the shows there, it brings in people, people who spend money. Same with chilis. I can't remember a time where I heard of the people at those shows causing any sort of trouble or anything like that either. Also, I'd like to know where you heard this rumor about there not being anymore steel valley nationals, or swap meets. I'm going to call
on this whole thing.

Well i just found out that Debartlo that owns The Southern Park Mall is saying that he does not want the car show at Chili's anymore next year. But A&W will still have it's shows. So there will be only one place to hang out next summer. I will find out as much as i can and let you all know.

ya i read that in the town crier last week, its a bunch of crap this damn county is going to sh!t. and what is debartlo using the parking lot at chilis for anyways i never see anyone parked there unless they got pulled over by the police or its saturday night and the nice cars are parked there. I heard that too about Hot Rods but they won't reveal if they will or won't run it until next year around March. My buddy is trying to get a car show together in boardman before it starts getting colder out. It will more than likely be in the boardman park plaza. I will keep you all posted.
