well, you can leave with the idiots on friday, or you can be on time with the rest of us on thursday
Event starts friday at 11....so you can get up at the butt crack of dawn, and head straight for the track friday, or you can come with us, have all of thursday to relax, talk to people, party a bit. Sleep in friday morning, and wait on all the people that are late
Both are sizable caravans, so either way it'll be fun, but thursday's the better day to get to the bash.
paul not all of us can afford to go thursday night. thats one less day of work and one more day of hotel costs. the friday people are just glad they're going at all.
Yea im not calling off thursday when I have friday off just to sit around and wait till friday HEHE

yeah no kidding, ive got to work thurs, i cant afford not to. im ganna spend alot going to the bash on everything, so im ganna need the extra moolah from thurs to make up for it
See the way I look at the Bash. Is that the Bash is the one event that is a Must do for the year. The Bash is at the top of my Priorities so I will take the extra day off for the Bash, and save the extra money for the Bash. But that is me :shrug:
Hell even the Thursday caravan won't be there early enough for me lol. But I get to watch the Caravan pull in I hope.
j-bash isnt my top priority in life... for that matter, my car isnt my top priority in my life.

yeah really...i was just pokin fun, granted I took it a little far. I'm just telling it like I see it. If you can, leave thursday, but since some people work I understand it just isn't possible....so you can leave on friday and I'm sure you're more then welcome on their caravan as well
or some people dont care when they leave, but they wanna leave with people that they know<-------lol

Trust me the Bash or my car isn't my Top Priority in my Life. LOL Expecialy with my House, Wife, and a daughter on the way.
I just have 160 hours of Vacation Time for the year. On top of that I already have July 4th -16th off for the 2 week July Shutdown.
But see I am also thinking of leaving the Bash Saturday night to get back home so I can drop of my 00 Z24 and take my '04 cavalier to Gattlinburg, TN because my Family is staying in a chalet the week after the Bash.

Blah that is nothing you should of seen in back in the 70's I still have to work more time before I can get my top 200 hours a year. But back then it was an automatic 200 hours plus 14 days Paid after the fact. LOL
They got rid of the 14 paid after the fact long ago.
But I want to elaborate on saying the Bash is at the top of my Priorities. My life somewhat revolves around cars and shows. I go to many or I used to go to many shows a year. Up to 13 out of state shows not including local shows in a year. The Bash was the show that was top priority of car show to go so no matter what I will have the days to take off for that show.
But now I am down to 3 major shows a year. That is all about I am going to do. Reasons being that yes my priorities have and is shifting more to my family, The fact that it is expensive for anyone that ever went to shows like I have can explain the expense in it. But the real deciding factor for myself backing out of going to most shows, Is that the athmosphere of Car Shows have gone way down hill expecially after TFATF.
But there is 3 shows that I plan to go to each year is they are still being held and the top one is the Bash.
I feel the same as Detty. I love cars, I love J's and I really love the org. My time at the bash is my "vacation" of the year...so instead of goin to cancun, I just go to the bash
I have a great time, and I don't ever regret going, not once

The bash is my summer vacation. I'm taking a week off for it. I'm also taking a vacation probably next January to go to Vegas. My favorite author is supposed to have the new book out next January. If it is anything like last January, he'll do a book signing in Vegas, and I want to be there for this one.

yeah I'm sure the gas you'll use is just MURDER lol I've had the bash as close as a 2 hour drive...never closer
