I bought this to swap it into my Sunfire. I had the whole thing apart and was getting ready to order some racing parts for it when I got a raise at work and canceled the project in favor of buying my GTI.
It's a 2002 Alero engine with 24,000 miles on it. I think I still have the shipping reciept with the VIN on it, but I'm not positive about that.
Current state of things- Fully assembled rotating assembly. Valvetrain is disassembled but in clearly labeled bags. Oil pan, baffle, and oil pump all removed. I have every nut, bolt, and wire from the engine. There is only one broken stud on the whole thing and that's at the exhaust crossover pipe, and completely repairable. The only thing you're missing to make this engine run is an ECU.
I payed $450 + $100 freight for the engine. I'm selling it for.

I am *NOT* interested in parting this out. If you want just the heads or the block, just take the whole damn thing and throw away the parts you don't want.
If you've got a 60* 2.8 or 3.1 these heads are swappable and worth almost that much by themselves. I'm tired of looking at this engine in my garage. You can have it up and running for the cost of a tube of RTV and a gasket set, and a few hours of wrench time.
There are people getting 340 hp out of this model engine with an ITS turbo kit and some tender megasquirt lovin'. It will fit in any GM car that came with a 60* directly or the 2200 engine with some modifications.
Some one take this. Local pickup only please. I'm located in northern cincinnati near i-75.
