hi i have a 03 sunfire and can not get it to start. i tried a new fuel pump and iginton switch. it still wont start. i will crank on it to try to start it and then let it set for a few and then makes a knocking sound after about 1 to 4 mins. it weird cuz i have never heard of a car doing that. its getting plenty of fuel and firing but wont start.but the day before it ran good no sounds or lose of power. please help it is the only vehicle i got

Did the car run normally the last time you drove it???

yes it ran good then the next day went to go some wheres and it wouldnt start some people say it could have jumped time cuz they say it is bad for them to do that they told me that it could have jumped when i cut it off that night other say a coil pack but i think they aint one on the cat or crank sensor

the say it a crank sensor or a coil pack. and the weird noise it makes after i try to start it after a couple of mins. also sometimes when iam cranking it sometimes makes a weird noise to (kinda like a grinding noise but i think that is the starter or is it)

Do a compression check . That will tell you alot
