Just throwing the idea around of getting rid of my sedan...maybe. It's a 2003 LS Sport (Red)
Last time it was running, had around 66,000 miles on it. I began tearing it down for a build, because either the shift fork or syncro went on 2nd gear.
Sold the turbo setup off of it, motor isn't running, but ran perfect the day I started tearing it down.
It doesn't have injectors, ECM, spark plugs, battery, intake assc., no exhaust at all, other then a few parts left from cutting it apart.
Car is in perfect shape other than what it is missing, and could easy get running in a day or two. Sorry if I am missing anything, but shoot me questions or anything you think I missed.
The good: Lowered on sportlines, sway bar in back, 7" Touchscreen DVD player in dash, 3 pillar with gauges, B&M Short Shift, will include set of 17" Motegi's with it. Has 16" LS Sports on it right now.
How it sits as of now, I can put all parts back on that I have.
What is this even worth with what is going on? 3,000? More? Hard to price...
I just have to put it back together honestly. To get it running again i'd have to throw a battery in, grab some injectors, ECU and some type of exhaust. 100 dollars at the junkyard would get it running.
Agreed with ruggedZ, as is, its a really nice parts car. Get it running again and $3k seems feasible.
You could atleast get $4,000.00 if you sell it privately...trade in...maybe $3,000.00
Would it be worth my time to get it running in stock form again?
I'd have to scrounge up manifold back exhaust somehow again.

Trading in, then yes. Then you can atleast try to sell them off after you trade it in.......If you decide to sell it privately, which would be the best way; then leave all of the extras on there and roll them into the price...You may be able to get more than 4K for it....I see stock Cavs/Sunfires around here for like $7-9K with the same amount of miles on it...those were all dealer prices.....I would start your car off at $5500.00 and entertain offers...of course make sure you take care of the issues you mentioned in your original post..
Damn, What did you do to T2's old sedan?
I'll buy it for a grand right now.
The trans took a crap this March right after I got it out of storage. I tore it down, thinking about building the motor for 20+psi. I don't know if I want to commit to the build anymore, (time), and I miss having something for a toy during the summer.
As of now, I think it would just be worth to finish the build, because it is going to take more than I thought to get it running again.
Sucks not having ANY money what so ever to start on the build though. The way I see it right now, it is going to sit how it is until I get back from Field Training next summer.
Hey man, im gonna give it to you straight. I buy and sell cars on this side. usually buy them not running, needing some work. With the condition its in, IF I were to look at the car (not running, bad transmission, no front clip) I would honestly offer you about 500 bucks for it. Not to kick u in the chops, but thats pretty much what its worth. Most yards would only give you 200-300 for it. Plus I would just tell you to take the other stuff out of it. I would honestly use it as a parts car, strip it down, and scrap the rest. If your not wanting to build it anymore, and your sure you can get it running right, then do that. and sell it for alot more then what u could get for it now. Or you can part out the aftermarket stuff, and just sell the car as a parts car. Maybe someone out there has a engine and trans and PCM for it. But in all honesty if someone is willing to give you a grand for it now, take it. The only way I would give you a grand for it, is if you put everything (and I mean everything) back on, and threw in all the aftermarket stuff, with all the stock stuff, then I would consider a grand for it. But without it, 500 is the best I would be able to do, and thats me being generous. ill give u a example. I bought a 99 Cavalier Z24 Convertible with a bad engine, for 100 bucks. A 97 Cadillac SLS with 120k on it, for 400 bucks (bad engine), a 96 Cavalier LS Convertible for 500 bucks (rod knock), a 97 Ford Thunderbird for 300 bucks (bad headgasket), and all of those cars were complete and every one of them ran, just like crap and all had bodies that were either MINT or damn near it just needed a buff. Now even tho your is a 03 LSS, its a nice car, body looks clean, the most I could offer would be 500, and normally I would only offer in the range of 200-300 bc it needs a engine, pcm, and trans, and exhaust system. Take if from me, ive flipped alot of cars, those were just some examples of what I have bought in the last 6 months. In its condition, you wont get alot. Goodluck tho!!
Sounds about right.
With a few parts car, my car would be running fine again. I just think now that I'm to far in and need to follow through.
Yeah you need to follow through. Don't make yourself out to be that guy that said he was going to "do this, do that"
and then not follow through...

It's tough as of now because I am involved in college, paying on loans and other bs.
Just caught up in life, and have other priorities. Time will tell.
End of August I will have all the parts you need to get this finished and I'm in Saginaw so really close to you. I will sell for really cheap
Stock parts? Let me know, I am still torn on what to do.
