Im picking up a hood at the Bash. Does anyone know off hand the legality of driving without a hood?

I drove our beater car around without a hood for a few weeks but we mostly stayed on the back roads and such.

I figure worst case Ill tell the cop my hood blew up and broke or something.

my buddy rolls around without a hood quite a bit. i dunno if its legal, but they never bothered him.

I went all the way out to Lima to meet up with Francis and Paul for a hood, 3 hour highway run. No one stopped me...

Ive done it before, you should be ok.

You should be ok, I drove through OH to get to KY when I picked up my hood. However it was in the middle of the night when I passed through. If you do get pulled over, no reason to lie about it. Just tell him why and when you make your voyage back through OH it will have a good. More than likely you shouldn't even be bothered.

It would be better if you had a huuge turbo sticking up while driving with your hood off

yeah, why lie about it? just flat out tell him what you are doing.

Supercharger works too.... I had a lot of weird looks on the 8 hour trip

Ill just slap a giant cone filter on the TB.

90* elbow and a funnel and your set lol

We did that on the Honda. just put a cone filter and tipped the tube up. Free CAI for FTW.
