FS: 1990 Beretta GTZ

Well I really did not expect to sell the GTZ, however i really want to put the motor into the Sunfire and get the ball rolling on that. Selling the GTZ will help me buy some extra stuff I want and need for the Sunfire(stuff that whines).
The 1990 Beretta GTZ was purchased at 113,000. At this time it has 116,000 on it(still drive it daily). I replaced and put quite a few new parts into it.

Story: I believe i am the 3rd owner of the car. The owner before me was a Quad4forums.com Member. He had this car for 4 years he claims that out of the 4 years it spent around a 6-12 months in storage before i bought it.

He had plans of putting a fully built motor and boosting the GTZ (he already had the full engine assembled and everything). He ended up parting-out and selling the engine.

The car Is in really great shape for being 20 years old. Outside there is no rust visible beside some surface rust on the hood from a tree hitting the hood and Paint chipping from stones and sketches(previous owner damage).
When I got the car it was In need of some TLC pretty badly. I replaced and fixed a lot of parts. When I received the car it had a Two Bad Injectors, Bad Memcal, ECU Blew, Waterpump leaking, TB Water hose leaking, o2 Sensor wasn’t connected, Bad wiper transmission, Wireharness spliced in random spots etc etc you get the idea. Since then I have replaced and fixed all the problems mentioned above and much more.

The Good
2.3L LG0 Quad4 High Output
116k On Bottom End
226 Degree Cams
63K On Top End Rebuild
63k On New Fel-Pro Headgasket
63k On Clutch
New Waterpump (2k ago) – Professionally installed
New Timing Chain Gasket (2k ago) - Professionally installed
New Timing Chain Tensioner (2k ago) - Professionally installed
New Injectors (2)
New Ecu
New Memcal
New Wiper Transmission – Wiper bracket flew off car in worst Thunderstorm Rain on Highway b  because of rigged Transmission
New Fancy Air Filter
New Toyo Tires (4) less then 3k on them.
Eibach Pro Kit Springs
KYB struts
Interior Is in good shape for being 20 years old for sure.
The Car does not have the 90’s Rot yet! If you look from the outside you will not find any kind of Body rot of any kind anywhere.. Which is pretty rare. The paint on the sides is in alright shape. I have someone that can repaint entire car for $600.

The Bad
No A/C (just needs a refill i believe, heat works)
Needs the Parking Brake handle replaced. They sell for 23$ on ebay(still works though).
Exhaust – In great shape but sounds like loud poop(in my opinion). The system on was put by previous owner I never got the chance to replace it. It only has a Catw and Dynomax Muffler.
Has Dash crack… Its 20 years old so expected.
The biggie: Timing chain makes a noise of a chain (aka you can hear louder then normal), I had the entire assembly inspected and the noise checked by two different shops they cant find the source. Both say there is no problem. So I do not really know the cause. I am taking the car today 5/24/2010 to my Mechanic again.

The car could really use a Tune for the 226 degree cams. I have spoken to Brandon, for a reasonable fee he can provide a kick ass-tune for the car. I strongly believe once this is done the car will be complete.

I am sad to sell it, but I Love the sunfire more. I originally was going to buy a new crate motor (they sell for around 900 now!) and install it. If you are looking for a car to do that with, this is a great choice.

Looking to get around 1800obo

Will have pics of everything later

Car will be at BBQ

I'd love it but 7k is wayyy too much for me right now. Cav is probably staying now too. It's a love hate thing.

I do love that GTZ though

Rockauto was selling the Remans for $975 for a number of weeks as some sort of promotions until no stock. Now its around 1000ish, they have them in stock (i called). Thats still a 1600$ discount from the prices i saw before.
