Hey guys I have an Ecotec Cavalier and I notice when I drive and go into 5th it makes a scratch noise.... Is that normal maybe to let me know the car is in overdrive or is there a problem present

Could be a syncro going bad.
You could always change the tranny fluid with some nicer fluid and it could help that. Check out the tranny forum on more info on different fluids that can be used.
