Well guess I better post this here too, I have an event on FB.
A lot of people have asked for a no bs just hang out and chill meet. A lot have asked for the old Clearwater weekends. And some just miss hanging out with old friends.
Just trying to get everyone together for a day/ night. I know a lot of people have moved on from J's and have something else and that's fine, it's just about getting together and having a good time.
Planning on the St Pete/ Clearwater/ Treasure Island area.
Sat 15 & 16.
Everyone get together, have lunch or dinner at an area restaurant, go to the beach and hang out. Bring your families!
A few are planning on staying the night so I've been looking for hotels. Waiting to hear back from a few more but the price range so far is between $49-125 for the night ($125 being right on the beach at a resort). We can all split a couple rooms to bring the cost down as well if you want.
Let me know if your interested and if you would be interested in staying the night so I know how many rooms to look for.

There's 15 picnic shelters at this location, I'm going to shoot for getting there around 9am. I'll look for a pavilion on the North Beach side (pavilions are numbered 1-10 on that section) and set up camp at hopefully one of the ones closest to the parking area (10 being the closest). There is beach access here, showers, playground, restrooms all on this side here.
There's a beach side dog park, bike trails, canoe trails, fishing pier, everything you could wanna do.
It's $5 to get in the park.
I'd say we all chip in and bring something to the BBQ.
Chips, soda, water, potato salad, burgers, dogs, cups, plates, napkins, condiments, charcoal, etc.
If not, then bring your own!
For those of you who don't know me ... look for the Jeep with the glow in the dark orange grill and I'll have something at the pavilion too =)
I'll be bringing my rc cars, bike, fishing pole, and snorkel for the beach if anyone wants to bring theirs.
If you want to stay in a hotel, just let me know and we'll work something out, I have about 30 hotel bids from the area and some only require 3 days notice for booking the rooms.

Well I booked a reservation for the pavilion so it's completely ours and there will be no worries about picking a spot. It was $50, so if yall wanna throw me a couple bucks each to help pay for it that'd be great..

My finace gets discounts at Mariott, ill probably be staying at the courtyard mariott, its right next to the location and the beach. She gets the rooms for 39 a night and the rooms have 2 queen beds. any additional rooms she can do for 89 a night. Since Jhand is running the reunion meet (i think) im sure she will want the discouint and whoever wants to split it with her can do so, im taking the other room for myself and will probably split it with Fluffy and whoever else tags with him. If any additional rooms are needed ($89) everyone else can split the cost of that room still making it cheaper than full price and in a good hotel and not a run down one.
