I didn't get all the info til today, or else I woulda posted this sooner.. but the Insane Clown Posse and (hed)pe are playing at Jannis Landing in St. Pete this Friday, the 9th. doors open at 6p, show starts at 8p.. its $25 in advance, $29 at the door
I've been a huge ICP fan since the early 90s (hense the hatchetman on my arm), but I've yet to see them live
I've been a huge PE fan since '97 when I stumbled upon them on the generic music choice channels on the cable network we had at the time. they were my lil discovery, til they played the second stage at Ozzfest '98 and started to get huge.. luckily, they haven't changed a bit in the last 12 yrs. they are truly a pioneer in the rap/metal scene and no one pulls it off better than them
if anyone wants to make this, gimme a call and we can meet up along the way. I don't have work Friday so I plan on headin up early so I can try to catch the chance to chill with the bands.. I have a knack for getting that lucky

I hate to say it, but (hed) pe was a freaking disappointment. MCUD spent most of the time bullsh*tting and talking than doing actual music. no joke, they played like 4 songs during an hr long set.. they did 'Raise Hell', 'Still Standing', some super fast song that makes fun of emo kids, and a cover of Sublime's 'Garden Grove'... I wanted to hear some old stuff, but it was an utter let-down. but I will say this, they are def a fun band to watch..
ICP now.. holy mutherf*cking sh*t, the word "epic" doesnt even come close to describe this act. ever since '01, I've always said that no one will ever top Crossbreed's live show... ICP managed to change my mind in less than 5 mins. the Ringmaster, the voodoo girls, the freak shows, the demon clowns.. and enough Faygo to flood the Sahara. I walked out dripping like someone thru me into a damn swimming pool.. the stage set was just insane looking, like you were at a demented circus (obviously), and thats just the theatrics. as far as music, they did old stuff, new stuff, rare stuff.. guest spots from MCUD from hed and Psycho Jesus. this was by far one of the funnest shows I've ever been to
you cant see, but I'm dripping Faygo.. there was a puddle under my feet where I was standing, and that was after I took my shirt off. and the two 2 litres of Faygo. one was tossed to me by Violent J and the other was given to me by 2Dope

I'm kinda shocked by all the clown hate on here.. I was starting to think that they were getting stale in general, but when I got there and saw the size of the crowd out front and how many ppl had their faces painted, thats obviously not the case. and one of the best reasons to go to a clown show: tatted up, pierced up, painted up, thick-ass, big-tittied juggalo chicks
yea Fluff, it did blow. they'd do a song, then Jahred would stop and talk for 5 or 10 mins about something... like he was talking about how he'd like to beat the sh*t outta some rednecks.. but then he was like, rednecks make those emo mutherf*ckers not look so annoying', then went on for 10 mins making fun of emo kids and how they wanna cry all the time. but how emo chicks are hot and how you know they need d*ck since they're bfs arent givin it to them without wanting to cry and cuddle afterward. it was like 30% concert and 70% Def Comedy Jam

they actually had the JWO champion come out during a song they did about a dirty pedophile... they had 2 girls in skool-girl outfits getting chased around by a guy dressed up to look like a typical pedo, and the wrestler came out and slugged him in the face like, 3 times (yes, it was legit.. none of that WWE 'stomp your feet when you punch' ish).. then brought out a table and ladder, and powerbombed the guy from the ladder, thru the table. all while ICP was playing... the stage was so packed, it was crazy

Sounded like a helluva time man! The first thing I think of when I hear ICP is the movie Big Money Hustlers lol, I remember watching that awhile back and trippin out. I have know a few ppl in the tally area who are (hed)PE fans and hit up the shows when they come to Floyds music store. I've never really listened to em' but not a huge fan of the genre really.
Hell, I need to get out and catch a good show soon......

it was beyond a helluva good time, man.. words can't begin to describe it. if you got an Xbox with Live, they did a 2 part special with ICP where they gave a small tour of the stage and behind, and an interview.. free DL BTW
another good act to catch if you're in the Tampa/St. Pete area is Crossbreed.. if you like Fear Factory, Ministry, etc., you'll love these guys. and they're stage show only comes second to ICP
speakin of XBL, the clowns will be on Live Oct. 30th.. dunno what they're gonna be playing, but I don't really care either
