There was a MINOR accident in the Rear Passengers 1/4 Panel a few weeks ago, a Busted tail light and small dent, This has been repaired and the Fuel door was Shaved also, this is the ONLY accident this vehicle as been in! To be 100% Fair the Paint is in very poor condition, the clear coat has failed, the car also has several Dings over the body, But no major body damage. The Car does have some rust, the Doors are both Rusted heavily, However I have 2 Rust free doors in the shop ready to go on when the car is painted. I also have the original engine, transmission, and ALL the spare parts.

I don't care if this car was built by GOD. It is at the MOST worth 3500. your mods do not add ANY value to the car lol. Car has 180k miles, I'm sorry, the car is a heap. Good luck ripping someone while settings for worst ripoff ever hahaha. I have never seen you build anything right....but I'll leave that alone having not seen this car up close. Best of luck to you...you'll need it!

Parts do add value to someone that wants them. Work has been done right as the pic by pic progress shows. Not to mention the receipts ON HAND for EVERYTHING amounting to $14,465 with very little of that labor. Ys the Car has 182k on it, but very little of the car is original, most of it is new. I would say $8500 for a Full air ride setup, New Rims and tires, A Newly Built Engine, New Clutch, Slave Cylinder, Transmission, Seats, New Fuel tank, new coil cover, new alternator, new A/C compressor, New Windshield, New Front brakes, Car-PC, tint, Headunit and 2-ways, HID's., and everything else on the car.
As I said in the OP, I don't have to sell the car, if someone wants it Ill sell it as-is with everything included and Ill use that money to help pay for the sky. If not Ill have both. Now please do not post in my for sale thread bashing my sale and talking down about my car when you have NEVER even seen it.

If I understand right, If it costs GM $12,000 to build a cav then sell it for $17,400 as my window sticker states (Which is more than DOUBLE the current price) then GM essentially rips off EVERYONE that it has ever sold a car.... Hell even if it cost $25,000 to build the car then they sold it for $17,000 its a ripoff.....

Parts don't add value to a trade in..This is a car for sale along with the parts on it. If someone wants them, they will pay for them. Your 100% retarded if your waying the parts have value when not attached to the car but suddenly become 100% worthless when attached.,

I agree with Paul 100%. That car is worth $3,500.00 at best. No way in hell it is worth $8,500.00. There have been cars on here 1,000,000 times nicer than that sell for allot less. Good luck with the sale, maybe you will find someone with more money than brains.

you know Speedracer sold the motor out of his wrecked car for like 3500 with the turbo setup attached. I bet he put more in it then that, and his had 400whp to back it up. your motor isn't even "built". You have some routine machine work, and forged pistons and rods tossed some fresh paint on it, and called it "built". Absolutely no research/design has went into this motor. Everything is "bolt-in". with that said...

Sell the car - 2000 tops
Motor - 1500 maybe
Trans - 500
Air ride - 2000-2500 since it seems like a decent setup
Rims/tires - 1500

Various other odds/ends off the car can easily add up to another 500-1000.

Now you're at $9000-$10,000. That puts more money in your pocket, and no one calls you a dumb ass. Just trying to look at this with logic.

Selling a car isn't easy either. First figure out what your car is worth, bottom line. Nobody cares what you owe on it, or how many payments are left. They want true down to earth numbers of what the vehicle is worth. Just as with buying a car, take a look at each of the previously stated areas and figure out a price. Start with the Kelly Blue Book private party price for your particular vehicle, and go from there.

We all know you spent thousands of dollars upgrading your car, but I hate to tell you this, when you sell your car, its almost worthless. The reason that it is worthless is that the person who is buying it will almost certainly have to go to a bank to get a loan. When a bank figures out how much money they will give a person, they look in a small (in Wisconsin its yellow) book to determine a vehicles value based on make, model, body style, engine, and mileage. It doesn't say anything in there about that awesome stereo, $1000 body kit, $5000 paint job, $1200 rims, or $600 tires. Its worthless. The best advice to those who have upgraded your cars is to part it out, whatever you can, before selling it. Return it back to as close to stock as you can before selling it. That is the only way you will come even close to recovering any of the money that you have spent modifying your car.

Then, you have to sell it. Naturally the people who are wanting to buy it will want to talk you down, so let them. Slightly overprice your car by up to $1000, and let the people talk you down. Don't go any lower than what you determined the car to be worth. Usually selling your car to a private party will give you much more money than trading it in. Many dealers don't sell the cars that they take in on trades, they bring them to auctions and have them sold. Auctions don't always give a great price, so the dealer won't give you one on a trade for it either.

Now, in your above post you tell someone to "get a personal loan" well how is he supposed to do that when the car is worth KBB; using your zip code, $1700 ? The bank WILL laugh at him and decline his loan request.

Selling an 11yr old chevy cavalier w/ 180xxx miles, RUST, and "failed clear coat". Lucky for you if you got your asking, but I just have some logic. Sorry I dont mean to ruin your thread, but just wanted to point a few things out.

A car is worth what you can sell it for....Plain fact. No methods, rules, or laws exist on this.

I know you cant get a title loan for the car, thats obvious. However this is my asking price, If I sell it then its sold, If I dont then its mine. Ill negotiate the price some but not much. i am not parting the car out because I dont want to be stock with a half stock car I cant sell. Id rather be stuck with my car.
