FL Road Course Zoning Vote?
Tuesday, March 03, 2009 7:44 PM
Anyone care to help out on this?
There is a road course in Orlando that opened up not too long ago that the city already wants to shut down. Its in an industrial area so it's not like there's houses n such around the course. I have not personally been yet, (was actually planing on heading there on Fri before I read this) but I've heard nothing but good stuff about this place.
They need a vote to keep the city from shutting them down. Any help would be appreciated.
All votes must be in by Thursday ... i just found out about this today myself.
Thanks everyone!

E-Mail sent. This is one place I've actually been thinking about trying out.

Even though you don't see me or hear from me as much, doesn't mean I don't still enjoy working on my car and doing things with it.

cool little place,
wish I had something local like that.

I'm a road course driver at heart.
I did karting for a while when I was younger.

Thanks for any help guys.
I would like to get into course racing, but there's nothing close to even really bother thinking about it, until this place.
Like i said the place is fairly new and of all the meets that I have heard about being there, it's been nothing but good things.

And like Evan said, it would really help pull all these stupid @ss kids off the streets hopefully and won't end up like This Guy LOL

Council and Zoning members,

I am speaking out in support of the Central Florida Road Course installation remaining open.
The opportunity to meet other automotive enthusiasts in a legal, safe atmosphere of friendly competition is something not found anywhere else in this region.

In an age of irresponsible people acting out behavior they see displayed in movies like the Too Fast... series, you want to close down the only place in the area that allows car enthusiasts a safe, legal option to street racing.

Brilliant. Which of your buddies are you doing this for? What group of old-arsed complainers are you trying to appease? What ridiculous 50's sensibility are you trying to placate?

When everyone is screaming about teens and street racing, you're trying to close down the best option there is to get them off the streets and into a controlled environment where all concerned are safety-conscious and responsible.

Are you completely stupid? I'm sure this is being done because the owners of another commercial racing venue are complaining and calling in some favors from whichever of you they regularly pay off, but show some balls and do the right thing for once.

I'd be civil with you, but you're obviously a complete bunch of morons driven by personal agendas and idiotic, unfounded beliefs, with little fact nor common sense backing up your decisions. In other words, you're just like every other little group of power-hungry jackasses on any other zoning/council group in the country.

If there was enough gray matter between the lot of you to maintain basic autonomic life functions, I'd be surprised. You should just stop breathing now and do society a favor.

No doubt there's some idiot lawyer involved in this somehow and you're stupid enough to listen to him/her/it.

Have a great day ruining other people's lives for no good reason. What a bunch of putzes.

Respectfully, Gary Canterbury
