Nah, don't really need anything. Just got the car, and wondering if theres anything in particular I should watch out for. It's a 2001 Z24. Bone stock, 96,000 miles.

I'm hoping. I traded my Civic for it. B18 turbo. So I'm hoping it's not a total turd anyway. lol.

The Z24s have some potential, but not half as much as any Honda. Our cars don't have anywhere near the aftermarket support, and parts are more expensive and harder to find. This site can help you a lot though.

It can be very expensive...but we make lots of torque!!!!

the ONLY thing Hondas have over j-bodies is the aftermarket support.. and thats not potential, thats just a following. when I say potential, I mean that our motors are capable of making more go with less mods than a Honda.. K-series excluded. just like how our cars have more potential than a f*cking Skittle.. a boosted Ecotec or LD9 will walk all over an SRT4 any day of the week.. twice on weekends.. thanks to the strong bottom-end of the LD9 or the high compression of the Eco, we got what it takes to knock a hole in the scene; we just need dedicated ppl, and thats a losing battle unfortunately. more and more, I'm seeing j owners sell out for Deltas, V8s.. or even Skittles for that matter

pretty soon, the only j-body owners left on the site will be me, Jason from Kissimmee, Chris from Ocala and John from Jax..

So far I'm satisfied with it. Doesn't have the pickup that I'm used to, but it's more fun to drive as far as I'm concerned. Really just wanted out of a boosted car, may consider a supercharger at some point, but never another turbo.

Turbos just too much of a pain in the ass for a DD. I mean, it can be done, reliably, but not for me. At least once a week something broke. And theres way too many little piddly parts that can stop working that'll leave you stranded. Lose a vacuum hose, and you're shut down. Suck.

one of my best friends had a Volvo 740Ti, and he was constantly blowing IC hoses and we'd have to pull over, reclamp them, and if he boosted hard again, POP!!! he finally got tired of the BS and got a '93 Honda EG6 with an H22 swap, full exhaust, K&N intake and Honda Crome ECU tuning.. added a 50-shot and went 13.0 at Gainesville a yr ago.. on a BAD day
