Trying to finally get rid of the cav. It needs a good home and some love. It's an 02 Z24 with an automatic. Here's the lowdown.
First the bad. The body has 145,xxx miles on it and that's what the odometer reads. However, the engine was replaced last year due to a spun bearing caused by a faulty oil filter (it's very awesome when you get underneath the car and see oil shooting out the side of the oil filter -.-) and only has about 100,000 miles on it, give or take a couple hundred. The new engine runs smoothly. Next, the paint is pretty bad. The clear coat is all but gone on the trunk and there are other spots as well. Also, the turbo sport hood never got paint or primer so the gel coat is fading pretty bad. Also, the front bumper was replaced so it only has primer. The moral of the story is the car needs a paint job and is the biggest reason the price is pretty low. The exhaust needs the three bolts that are used on the flange that connects the cat pipe and the rest of the exhaust as I couldn't find the right ones when I put the stock exhaust on (the cat is new as well as most of the piping and the rear o2 sensor) so it leaks from there. The muffler also needs a hanger welded on. The interior is in decent shape aside from the infamous cracked dash and a bar that is coming out the back of the driver side seat. It can be stuffed back in, but it usually works its way back out. I bought and installed the dash cover from whoever it is that sells it but it's a slightly different shade then the charcoal interior.
Now if you got through all that, here's the good. The car has practically brand new tires (less than 3,000 miles on them) on 17' Tenzo R-5's. One rim is curbed slightly though. Front brake pads are pretty new as well as the wheel bearings in the front. The rear o2 sensor was just replaced as well. The car is fully loaded as far as cavaliers go. Power windows and locks, sunroof, cold ac, cruise control, yada yada. I'm not sure which as I wasn't here when my mom showed the car to someone, but one of the window motors is starting to display signs it's gonna die. Both were replaced once, but most of us know how great these window motors are. The headlights have been painted black by the one and only, Muffin. I also still have an Injen warm air intake installed.
If you want the car, you are welcome to take all the junk i still have for it. I have the original engine, an intake manifold, headlights, those uber-cool diamond plate floor mats (I was young and thought they were cool...
), upper mount insert, and some other random @!#$. I also have a pacesetter ceramic coated header which I'll sell for a hundred bucks if no one is interested in the car or the buyer doesn't want it.

if thats the vibrant exhaust .. its uncentered.. mine came uncentered as well.. but the local garage fixed that right up. The first installer had to piping to long and it was routed wrong and hitting the rear axle..

Nah, it's an oem type muffler. But yes, it's off centered. Just needs a bend put in before the tip.

Well, that's a deal of a lifetime. I'll have to remove the swamp ass air freshener I just purchased though.

Since he said it never got paint and the gel coat is fading, I'd assume it was FG. If I was closer I'd swap hoods in a heartbeat.
Yeah, but most carbon fiber hoods turn yellow when they fade and I don't see a weave, thus my opinion.
The opinion is correct; the hood is just fiberglass. I thought I typed that, but it would appear not.
