Hey, I'm lookin to swap my interior out with an 03+ Sunfire. Anyone around want to swap? Need the whole dash and door panels.

i say we get all the pieces from the junkyard because the chances of someone wanting to do the swap looks rough

just so you know this is what you need for the swap

dash
top dash
the top parts that runs along the windshields .. (seperate unlike the cavies)
door panels
and the actualy metal frame behind the dash this is a must. it cant be done without it .. but the dash will not line up with the doors. and it will never be mounted securely. i have tried both ways
and all the little trim pieces like the side panels the front panel...

i ment to say it can be done without the metal frame but....

I knew about all but the metal frame, thanks for the info! Now do you mean that the dash wont line up and itll never be mounter securely if i dont have the metal frame or just in general?

i ment without the metal frame ... check my vert out .. everything fits like a glove

metal frame and ur good to go

oh yea dont forget to get all the vent tubing and hoses from the fire also ..

no pics rite before the swap, but this was when i got the car and stripped the interior down.

sunfire dash assembled.. mind you it will be in pieces when you actually install it



i dont know if i have pics of the sunfire frame i will try to see, but this is the cavies frame. notice the part where the cavs hvac controls would normaly be? the fires frame lacks that part.



in this pic you can see on the left side how the dash doesnt actually line up to the door panel.. its to low. in this pic i used the cavalier dash frame. to see if it was possible .. and it is but i wouldnt recommend it.



granted this is with the older fires dash.. it still has the same principles .. iv heard that the 03-05 cavies and sunfire clusters are all interchangable but dont qoute me on that.. for me i had to modify the fire dash to fit my cavies cluster for i didnt want to do any rewiring
