My 2004 LS Sport has side air bags. Actually I think I have every option except the chrome wheels and a sun roof(if the sedans could have a sunroof)...Side air bags, XM radio, rally package, automatic, etc.
If it was up to me I would have skipped the bags, rally package, and XM...would have saved like $1200, but in order to get the $4000 GM owner loyalty bonus I had to take from dealer stock, and all 3 LS SPorts they had were identically equiped. The bags in the seats make it a pain to put other seats in the car, unless you want to disable the whole airbag system.

Side airbags was an option on the 2003-2005 Js
That thing that you all call:"vent to let hot air outta the roof" is where the mic resides.
No... there was no "low tire preasure warning" because Js never had a monitor in the wheel.
Lastly, being that Onstar on Js were analog, the future for those devices are meek, as Onstar/GM is and will be providing service to digital Onstar equipment only.

I've seen some Js before with side airbags, although they are rare...we actually have one at work

My/Carol's '04 Fire had them in it, but most people could not tell because of the GM set cover over them. That car had "EVERY" option except ABS, if you can believe that @!#$!

Wow, an 03 with 39K miles? thats pretty low mileage. My 04 has 108K on it. Of course for the first 3 1/2 years I had it I was making a 106 mile round tripper to work everyday.
