Just wanted to give you Pasco & Hernando folks a heads up...it appears theres a local meet in Hudson on friday nights. Publix parking lot, corner of US-19 and Hudson Ave, 8 Pm till whenever. I havent been to it yet, just found out about it actually, but planning to check it out soon. Check out Tamparacing.com local events forum if you want to know more. Would be great to get some Js out there.

I didnt until earlier this week. Since the local J scene is really quiet I started getting on tamparacing.com and found a thread for it. Some people say its cool, other say too much rice, so it sounds like a typical car spot to me.

Ok folks, dont bother with this meet. The cars worth seeing have moved thier meet to an undisclosed location, all thats left is rice and thugs. Seriously...I cruised out there last night...couple integras and civics, neons (non SRT), lots of stock vehicles and bass thumpers. It was like a high school parking lot after class lets out.
The people with the cars worth checking out have gone all FAFT, I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time BS. Basically if your not a street racer, and a fast one...like 12 sec or better, they dont want you around.

Sad part is, all I seem to have found is a remonder of why I dropped out of the car scene 2 years ago. Attitudes and BS. These people dont want you cause your not fast enough, or show enough, or not driving an import, or not building your car they way they want you to.
Seems no one goes out just for the love of cars in general anymore. The classic muscle guys are right, these younger generations have ruined the car scene. For them it was about the cars, now its about the drama.
Man I miss the old FL Js days, we had a year or two that was pretty good, everyone got along, no pressure or drama.

Ive tried for like 3 weeks now to get to that meet, something always comes up. From what Ive seen it looks like there is a great meet near you in Spring Hill...tuesdays at The Pit Stop, sounds really cool, kinda family friendly too.
