actually, I'm not too sure what yr the motor is... I know the car was a '97, but it wasnt the original motor that got built and dumped into the car. if you know of any identifying marks, I can check it tomorrow when I get home from work. just in case it is, what ya lookin to spend?

Thanks for the pics. I was busy working this weekend. Is that engine has a EGR. I think it does because I see the hose underneath the black air box. Hey Daniel do you know if they have a 2000 up LD9 or I have to go and check myself. Thanks for the help guys. And yes I do go to UCF, why?

You are looking for a running motor correct? Evan's motor is not running, it needs rebuilt. Check www.car-parts.com I saw a couple in FL for abround $700 with 75k on them. Also the block are the same on all LD9's. If you are not looking for a running motor and 2.4 block will work. Robert and I have a 2001 2.4 block. Spun a rod bearing, still has crank (might need to be replaced), and stock rods and pistons in it. No head.

John, mine was a running motor. In fact, its in the same condition as the one you mentioned (same EXACT thing happened.. my crank might even be reuseable).. except mine has a head (needs lifters) and forged pistons... and mine only had 30-40k on it

Evan, I am taking the head off during this week coming up. If it is what I think it is would you sell the pistons by itself? An if so how much. Thanks again guys for the help and patience.

Evan just another question, what are the specs on those JE forged pistons? Are they overbore or standard? What compression?
Thanks again. Antonio

sorry, but I made a mistake.. their Wiseco pistons, not JEs.. 9:1 CR, standard bore

So you would sell the entire engine for $200 on the other forum and sell me the piston for $250?!!!

"forged pistons" sounds better than "non-running motor", dont it? that, and I wouldnt have to take the motor back apart... besides, you can make me an offer.. that was just a round figure to start with, 'cause EVERYONE like to haggle. trust me, I'm not a low-jacker.. you can ask ANYBODY in here

I'll go ahead and take the $160 'cause I need the engine stand soon for my 350, but you'll have to come get it... I dont have a truck anymore
