Looking for a cavalier with the 2200 engine and 5 speed transmission for cheap. Blown motor/tranny is ok.
The 2.4 or Ecotec engine would move me into an unfavorable class for SCCA.

So if you get a car with the engine it came with from the factory and it is a 2.4, but you have all the same stuff you currently have done you are in another class? I really do not understand SCCA. Another reason I will probably never run it.

Well, my setup puts me in FSP with cars like Civic DX's, Datsun 510's, VW's golfs. Essentially, base model 4 cylinder economy cars. The Quad 4 and Ecotec are classed in DSP which has some early base miatas and 80's BMW's in it that would destroy the cavalier in twisties.
