Stuff for Sizzale - Part II
Friday, June 15, 2007 7:09 PM
Alright, so I'm making a new post so you can guys can oogle and get your monies together if you're interested. There's some slight random stuff in here too lol.

1) Neon rear brake kit -

This is contingent that I get my new daytona setup working. If I don't get it working, then no go lol. BUT! If it does work, I'm selling the neon kit, WITH NEW SS lines and fittings. $200 + shipping, but priority will be given to someone who sells me Z24 wheels (if I need them, I'm kinda in a little debate right now with FedEx over it).

2) Wilwood front brake kit -
Yup, the 12.19" dynapro slotted/drilled/coated setup. REALLY nice brakes. This is NOT the original cavalier kit though, this kit comes with upgraded pads (BP-10 instead of the Q's) and the piston sizes are one size smaller than the original. This is because when these brakes were bought, they were specifically bought with the purpose that a rear upgrade was going to be made, and a problem came up with wanting to keep the pedal feel good rather than super mushy or having to do a master cylinder change. So, piston size went down, pad friction went up, and rear piston size was going to go up. Fair warning that these brakes are not for everyone and they are not the original kit. Do not buy these if you are looking for the original cavalier kit, go ahead and buy that new (I think the price is now $1043 from wilwood according to their price list). SS lines are not included, but the fittings to convert the calipers to standard -3AN size are. If you're really bent on getting the SS lines, I can work something out for a little extra money. That said, 750 shipped (shipping is expensive, so its not too bad a deal, especially w/ the drilled rotors).

3) Daytona rear brake kit -
The whole reason why the wilwoods were bought slightly different than the original cavalier kit. You'll get brackets, pads, calipers, and ebrake hardware. The brackets are drilled for the hubs, but be warned that this setup needs more modification and is more complex than the neon setup. It looks badass though with the wilwood fronts. If you're bent on the SS lines and rotors, we can work something out. $250 shipped (this is more expensive because this kit is much more rare and took me a while to find). Calipers are also very hard to find (new, or used - much less, CHEAP) because of the low amount ever produced.

The pricing for these two things is basically set up as $1K for a nice front and rear brake upgrade (plus a few things you would need to buy yourself). I'm already losing money on these two setups, so that's why I've had to do the pricing how it is.

4) Hub rings for aftermarket wheels -
73 mm O.D. - (2) 57.1 I.D and (2) 70.3 I.D. - great if you do the NWF swap and have aftermarket wheels that have a 73mm bore. $21 shipped

5) Neon rear caliper seals and boots -
I bought an extra set (one set is already on the current neon calipers). $7 shipped

6) Cavalier wheel bearings - make offer

7) Cavalier calipers - make offer

8) Cavalier spindles/knuckles -
make offer

9) 512MB Kingston SD card -
make offer

If you think my prices are outrageous, well then look elsewhere. If I don't sell this stuff within a certain time frame, well then maybe I might come down in price. Then again, there's always ebay, but I figured I'd ask my local JBO'ers first. A lot of you know me here, and know that I'm always willing to talk about it if you're interested.

Hey did you get any of my pm's about the wheels? Also are you now including the brake lines or what not with the neon rear kit? And I'm still interested and hope to still be at the top of the list.

tristan, yea, i replied to you remember? I'm waiting to find out what I get from fedex in claims return, but still shoot me a price man. eric, hmmm......

and yea, lines are included now because I came across a set of new lines I forgot I had gotten a long time ago. and also eric, if you're really interested in a kit, i could piece a kit together for you, but i cant do the drilling on the brackets for you. you'd have to either do it yourself, get it done professionally, or ask josh dearman if he'll sell you a set of drilled brackets only.

I meant the newer ones, I gave you a relative quote on shipping for the two. If you replied to those I never got them.

so today i made major progress on the daytona setup, which hopefully means that next weekend i will be able to install it. meaning, that maybe in about 10 days, i should be ready to get rid of the neon setup for those who are interested.

I everything but the calipers and e-brake hardware.. I just have to get the spindles into a machine shop and get the fabs done, but I never have time to do it, and most shops I've talked to in town here dont wanna take it on... I'd rather buy one thats ready to be bolted right in anyway.

Does this include machined brackets?

Re: Stuff for Sizzale - Part II

yes, it would include the already done brackets. Then, it would only be a matter for yourself to order what you want in terms of pads and rotors, and hit up summit for the SS lines. I can do all this for you (so you get one nice pretty package), but it wont be economical.

As for my current pricing, I realized an error I made last night (I cant believe i didn't catch it, because I was bent on the 1K thing). The neon kit was supposed to be $250 + shipping, and the daytona kit was supposed to be 200 shipped. The daytona bracket will have the center hole enlarged, yet the 4 bolt holes will not be there, so you can decide which way you want to put your bracket, unless you talk to me ahead of time and I do it for you. SP has rotors that match the front wilwoods for about $150 that you can find online. SS lines combined for the wilwood kit and daytona kit (if you buy them together) is about $100 from summit.

Ok, i need to go over this again because i've even confused myself lol. I've also added some more incentives. My current neon setup that included everything has potentially been sold, unless someone wants to go crazy and offer me a million dollars .

1) Custom wilwood front setup - 750 shipped, but now it is including the SS lines fo free, so you will have EVERYHING you need to install this. This is coming from piparo btw because of his new polished ssbc's (but these wilwoods are technically mine, hence why I'm selling them, and my NWF swap is doing me just fine and fits my 16's).

2) Custom daytona rear setup - 250 shipped, and now it is including everything except rotors. This time i am INCLUDING brand new SS lines and crush washers. I will also drill out the bracket for you and do the necessary modifications, but remember that this will take some more mods to your setup than what the neon takes. The difference is that it looks SO much better w/ a large front setup (which is why I'm also switching over to this). The ONLY thing that is not included is the rotors. Why? Biggest reason is because people have different preferences for rotors, depending on what kinda front setup they run (xdrilled, slot, plain, coated, by brand, etc). So, choose your own, and you don't have to buy things "twice".

3) Mixed set hub rings - still for sale at $21 shipped

4) Front wheel bearings, front calipers, and front spindles/knuckles are still here collecting dust, so make some offers.

Unfortunately, the guy who is buying my neon setup off my car had some problems with his family pet, and can no longer buy the neons. So as of now, the neons are back on the auction block

all you will need to do is grind down the axle (which you need to do anyway). the way i currently have the ebrake setup is the arm slips into the existing cable end hole (unlike the way dearman did it, where he modded the shoes and put the arm before the cable end) and you need no other mods. this does not apply to the cars that have 225mm drums. unfortunately the price won't change whether you want the rotors/pads or not.
