I would love to come but,right now the cav is in my NEW garage in need of two things new axles and input shaft seal(which is leaking ) and last wk the whl cylinder on the rear went.So with this n need the car sits tight.I have the front end parts in my house and the whl cyldrs but am gonna repl all the brakes stuff on the rear all at once and have to save,save to get the rest of the parts to do it.Maybe in a couple of wks or more prolly more bc I am doing so much work here in the house since we have almost doubled our square footage with all the painting and stuff I just do not have time to do anything the last 4 months.Hate it all hits at once but eventually it will all come together.

I blew it up at the drag strip last night
no hint of problems and BOOM it went I did get 2 passes in thow
1st on stock boost 10.3
2nd on 14 psi 9.5
all this is in the 1/8 mile
on the third I was staging and tached up about 3500rpm dropped the clutch and BOOM that was it
It sucks cause now Im without my baby but on the other hand Im gonna build it as muchj as itll handle
but Ill still be there look for the car club OFF the LINE CUSTOMS and the doange Ford Focus

Hey Amanda did you actually get a trophy? I dont remember, although I did not win a trophy nor did I enter with the sole purpose of winning, (I just entered because my friends did), but after seeing the other cavis in my class I thought I would at least get something. Oh well, to all those who missed it.. it was COLD AS HELL!!!!! the wind was brutal, which was the reason it was so cold.
Fun was had by all in my group, my car has slowed considerably due to an oil leak, externally and internally. But, I still had a blast

No, didn't get a trophy. I would lie if I said I went to the show just for fun. Of course I wanted to win since I've been going there for the past 3 years. I wasn't too happy that we both lost to what seemed to be the least modded cars in our class. It bothers me that brand new Cobalts can go in there with hardly anything done to them at all and they get trophies.

yea I know whatcha mean I was showing My ford focus that day cause I blew up the grand am and Ive done alot of work to it
I changed the color from white to Tangellow pearl(2500 bucks) molded in body kit (1500 bucks) wheels and tires (1200 bucks) not to mention other things and I loose to a stock focus with a carbon fiber hood and stickers all over it.The boy that owned that car came and looked at mine and said " Custom paint, body kit,wheels man Im screwed". but he ends up wining first

I have no idea what's going on with the judging at Piedmont lately, but it's not like it should be. It seems to me the trend of these judges choosing stock or near stock cars to win is growing. The last show, this exact same thing happened to me and I emailed them just like they said we should if we had any questions about scoring. I also noted in that email that the judge who judged my car basically skimmed over my car and spent more time looking at his judging sheet more than looking at my car and probably took maybe 15 seconds to actually look at my car. I didn't get a response so I sent the email again 3 weeks later and still to this day, no reply. I would email them and share with them my disagreement in the way they've judged this show and the previous show but I'm sure that email would get the same reply as the other 2 I sent. So either I will either continue to go to the show because I like the atmosphere, have a good time, and just know I won't win even if I was the only car in the class or I will just have to find other shows to go to. So, if you get word of any other shows nearby, please let me know.

yeah, my buddy won second place only because he was the ONLY other Celica there. The owners of the cobalt said the same thing, they looked at my interior and said "damn there goes our trophy" the judges didnt even LOOK inside my car (where i have been focusing most of my recent attention) and I find that funny because one of the things they were judging was interior. Oh, well I guess I MIGHT show there again, i only did it this time cause my buddies did.
yea Ill probly go again in the fall just for the fun of it and Ill probly show again but last fall I won 2nd in the focus class but I made the front cover of dropjaws mag for that show and the dropjaw girls posed on my car so I wasnt to mad last fall but this time it was different

ok im REALLY pissed off now, I got my score sheet mailed to me (finally) and the highest rating I got was on my trunk WTF!?! i have a prefabbed box with an infinity reference subwoofer, my amps slide around on a piece of MDF I have back there and they think THAT was the best aspect of my car?!?
Well, im gonna end my rant by saying, a lot of changes are coming soon, and I plan on taking the top honors at that show next year, If I dont I WILL go off. Prolly not, but w/e

CHM how did you get your score sheet mailed to you. Last show, I tried emailing them like they said and no reply as stated in my previous posts. Are they actually replying to their emails now? I would love to be able to see what my scores were. I was there when the judge judged my car and the only comment he made was how nice my trunk setup was. Which is just a box with 2 Sony 10's and an amp screwed to the top of it. Just a temporary thing unitl I can decide what I want to do with it and still have a functional trunk.
Who knows what I'll do when the fall show comes around. Maybe I'll enter for sh!ts and giggles and see if they can judge half decent.
