Turbo Eco Cavy 4/s
Monday, January 15, 2007 7:44 AM
well looks like I am going to have to get a truck to tow around my other car and I really can't afford 3 cars so it's up for sale. I have pics that I will load up if you haven't seen the car before just lookd for my old posts or maybe you've seen it at old town. This car is an all black (with exception of silver rims) 04 cavalier. It is the limited edition ls sport (used to have stripes they have been removed) so it has sill plates that say ls sport, and it has a different rear spoiler. I have black headlight covers that remove and install in about 10 seconds, I have blacked out taillights that are 100% legal and functional. Some idiot came by my house and shot it with a paintball gun so I currently have it in the shop and amd getting everything fixed and brand new paint. So now for the good stuff
- 04 ecotec with 44k miles
- hahn stage 1 turbo kit installed at 5 psi
- upgraded to super 20g for future mods that never happened
- car runs great, some others on the board might have seen it run before
- never been above 5 psi (not lying, you can ask others)
- spec stage 3 clutch installed about 3k miles ago
- also replaced rear main while doing clutch
- has a/f gauge, oil pressure gauge, boost gauge on a 3 pillar pod mount
- factory shifter cut, has same throw as b&m short shifter
- car has no mechanical defects
- sprint springs
- front and rear strut bars
- just installed prob 600 miles ago, rk sport upper and lower motor mounts
- sittin on 17s with michelin pilots
- apexi exhaust with no cat/resonator, quiet with normal driving sounds great when turbo is spooling
- optima red top

the car is pretty nice and I will have it back by the end of the week. I still owe plenty of money on the car. I have all the paper work and the turbo kit was professionally installed and have receipts. The window sticker on this car was like 19k. I have always run mobil 1, every 3k miles, has new brakes, car is all around sound. Not hiding anything, feel free to ask, look whatever I am not trying to scam anyone. Looking for serious buyers, not in a rush to sell but would like to sell soon. Feel free to make me an offer, car is valued at 9500 (bone stock) has much more in mods and I was a mechanic still work on cars everyday and I am not a hack job, I like the clean look. Let me know if anyone is interested

Good luck selling it. You will need it. Also there is no way to cut the stock shifter shorter and make it like the B&M.

Selling modded J's is hard. Most people who own J's do so because they are a cheap car, so buying a modded one at the price the person selling thinks it is worth won't happen. People who have the money for a modded cavy usually are going to buy something nicer. This is not a 100% statement, but it is hard to sell a modded J. Better off stripping it and selling the car as stock.

the car isn't ragged out but of course I've had a few races. In case you were wondering yes it is faster than an ss supercharged cobalt, srt4, rsx type s. everything in it's class it can take. it still gets the same gas mileage, but will give you the performance of a more expensive car, and since it's only at 5 lbs, it has plenty of potential.

yeah I know several people with some srt4s, I think they boost like around 14 from the factory
the srt4 weighs 2880, the cav weighs 2600
the cav has like 200 somethin wheel hp
the srt4 has around the same

From my experience it will take around 7-8 psi to get 200whp on a Ecotec.

LS sports def weigh more than 2600lbs

you may want to include some engine shots on ebay since people may doubt its turbo
