Looking for body shop in North Georgia or Atlanta
Friday, August 25, 2006 5:07 PM
I'm thinking about putting a Streetfire body kit on my 2001 Sunfire SE and having the remaining body panels buffed, refreshed, or even repainted. Can anyone recomend me a custom shop in North georgia or Atlanta that can properly do all the prep work, remove some dents, give me a factory quality finish paintwise, and fit the kit for me?

I've tried calling a few local shops...but nobody seems to be interested in painting or fitting kits

Plus I figured I could get some personal experiences to help me make a decision on where to go!

Chris you will have a very hard time to find someone to fit and install your kit ... but if you can fit the kit to your car then you can take it off the car and take just the kit to them they will paint it for you then you just reinstall it after its painted

This is my first foray into the world of body kits so thanks for the heads up -- I'll probably fit it myself then! It's all bolt on right?

not realy. if it's figer glass then it wont bolt on, if it's urethane then it might bolt on. either way, if you dont have experiance on body work, then you will need some help. where are you located?

Cartersville

Like I said it's for the streetfire kit which I think is eurethane....is there cutting involved?

I can figure most stuff out...so as long as I don't have to weld I should be fine just fitting it.

Im pretty sure Streetfire is urethane so you shouldnt have much trouble with it.

Urethane indeed: http://rksport.com/main/part_detail.asp?itemid=845&appid=111&mdid=8&catid=4

Lmperformance is running the best deal I've found on it at 877.50, 1037.00 including shipping. Although I think Frank at RK sport quoted me a similar price.
