my old sunfire was/is a cavfire. 1999 sunfire coupe with 02 LS sport front end. its white...running around in the pasco county FL area still i do believe.

I have 2 TRDCavFire and a Sunalier that is going back to a full Z cause I always wanted a Z. Nothing is hard about this at all. The only bolt that is different is the last one in the fender on the very front of the car. One is Cavy and the other is Sunfire. So don't worry if you see a hole and no bolt is in it or anything.

just got my fenders and hood in, headlights were here the other day, and bomex called and said the nose was pulled out of the mold and was ok as of the 3rd.... the rear is in limbo at andys tho.... they had to make the front end for me??? this is better than a new piece of a$$!!!! roflmao

ancient chinese secret. stock hood right now- thats the least of my worries. bomex called weds and said my nose is coming end of next week, andys says the rear is goin to be shipped eventually- typical, aeorgear slr fenders (similar to deji's) were here like 2 days after paying nopi for them, the sunfire headlights got here tuesday i think, the 'rest is all on my head- i have to fab up and glass.

I have a slightly retarded 03+ Sunfire Bomex front bumper laying around in my backyard. It needs some fiberglass lovin. I also have a pair of the 03+ Bomex Sunfire sides too.

i wouldnt mind putting a 03+ front end on my 04 ls sport. only because its a 4 door and theres no such thing as a 4 door 03+ sunfire. im just not sure about the headlights...they use completely different bulbs and im not sure if i like the idea of chopping up the OEM harness to change out the plugs.

it really wasnt very hard at all- the wiring is quite simple too. just dont go to the dealer for plugs- theyll get you for $187.00 for 4 sockets. lmao. theres another buld, something like an 880 that i found at carquest that uses the same socket as the h-11 bulbs, and only needs a small slot cut in it to make it work for the h-9 type bulbs. they still cost $23.00 each, but thats half what gm wants. give up on the junkyards too. that was by far the hardest part. heres the part number--- CARQUEST AUTO PARTS EC S553 PIGTAIL/SOCKET. everything else just literally was a snap. but no one knows it is something different but me. lol. oh well.

I dont remember how much I paid for the headlight pigtails for mine. I just remember I ordered them from gmpartsdirect.com.

Damn 184.00 for the stockets? Did you ever think to ask how much a whole headlight harness would be? A junk yard would of been able to do that for way under that I would think. I hope it all works out for you.

i looked on gm parts and they didnt list the sockets, or at least that i found. i even got my '05 headlight and marker assy's from them- they came bulbs and all for $ 111.00 for heads each and less than $40 for markers, on sale. the whole front was just a hamburger over 3 bills to the door (a month or so back on sale ). as for the salvage yards, yeah. they had harnesses.... every one but one told me the same deal- its too new to separate. if i want the heads or the harness, 2600.00 for a front clip. without exception!! i made no less than 6 calls and countless emails from tampa to jacksonville, to my family in georgia. no dice. so i just took a round about way to get my heads workin. its ok- theyll be hids in a month or so anyway lol.

I have maybe $290 in the headlight assemblies and harnesses and $50 in the park light assemblies.

had my fenders not been recalled back for the gelcoat sliding off when they got hot, im not even sure id have 7 hrs in my swap- it went too easy and smooth. shouldve known somethin would go drastically wrong. well, BOMEX still hasnt gotten me the nose yet..... think positive. @#$%@#$%@#$%

got any pics yet i have pics of the before after during and stack of beer cans i think we had 5 hours both front ends fully swapped

just got the front from bomex monday, and the hangers for the rear from the junk yard monday too - got it all on, and the front is too low- i hooked it on my front lawn and cracked the rt front a little. lmao. im tryin to figure out how to post pix before i have to run the front end up a few inches. thank god for adj coilovers!!! every time i post pix it says theyre too big or something?? i have a 6 megapixel camera, and im not terribly computer savvy, (plus my fenders are still not returned from aerogear- there beat up stockers.) im goin to try again asap.

They have them in Canada. 03+ front end, 00-02 rear.
