Just finished replacing the head gasket, everything went well, car starts and runs fine, maintains temp at idle but when you drive it, it overheats almost immediately.
Water pump was checked and is good, thermostat was replaced and checked, coolant is 50/50 mix, fan comes on when temp hits 90..,,,,,everything seems to be working properly...
Anyways, I'm stumped......Airlock maybe? If so, how do you fix that?
Any suggestions are welcome
Bleeder screws on the coolant bypass pipe. Get it good and hot and build up pressure, shut the engine off, crack the bleeder (7mm, careful it can break easily) to let the air out. Once coolant comes out the bleeder, close it off and repeat.

Did you bleed any air out of the coolant system when you refilled it with coolant? Check out this thread on how to:

Save your money. It might be worth something someday.
THanks guys....turns out the rad was clogged. Determined this by feeling hot and cold spots once it was up to operating temp. Flushed rad and were back in biznass.
P.S. I snapped off that bleeder screw a long time ago....lol. (luckily in the closed position)
Now I gotta find the fix for my heater fan...only works on levels 3 and 4.
