Here is the second thread to my first one that got locked because people couldn't keep their opinions to themselves, so here is the video I made of how it starts and idles......

Oh wait, no job and no money so no gas...
Sorry, I got nothin.

BlownblackZ, if your going to be a smartass then just dont post okay.....I changed the fuel filter last week, and the Throttle Position Sensor(TPS), any other ideas?
that reminds me of what my 92 Honda Accord was like....mechanics didn't figure it out...it would just hiccup and then die, sometimes when driving...there was a lack of power....basically, i came to the decision and said @!#$ it and off to the wreckers the car went...sorry dude, dont know what to tell you
Not saying this is the problem but my buddy had to get his gas tank fixed in his Cadallac for it to pass safty. So he got it fixed after that had nothing but problems with it fixed everything the place thought it might be still did not fix the problem. He comes to find out that they had left a damn rag in his gas tank. So after about $2000 worth of repairs all it was was a damn rag.
Just thought I would tell this little story because it seems like you have been trying to fix the problem, but with no luck
Hey Bob you probably see my car all the time, I live in Woodstock and see your car sittin at CT where you work lol, but yeah I looked in the tank last week while it was dropped and the fuel pump was out, it was clean inside, the tank was put on brand new just over a year ago and is still mint: Heres a list of what i have tried:
Fuel Pump
Fuel Pump Relay
Fuel Filter
Computer
Camshaft Position Sensor
MAP Sensor +Vacuum Line
Throttle Position Sensor
IAC Sensor
Injector Cleaner
IDI Cover
Spark Plugs
Tested Spark by connecting normal wires from IDI to plugs, good spark
Compression test (Numbers were all good and equal across the board)
Clearing computer out (battery off all night)
Different Grades and different fill up stations for gas
It seems its getting too much fuel and cant burn it off, thats why its hard to start its getting way too much fuel, which causes the engine to flood and making it harder to start, also it sometimes dies sitting at a red light in traffic. I was going to say Headgasket, BUT I have been keeping an eye on coolant and oil level and they havent moved, and the compression test would have shown if it was a headgasket. Its really frustrating, I have no idea why its doing this. Anyone around the Woodstock/London area who would like to come check it out?
I use to see your car when I worked in Woodstock, but I now work in London
Rob, Ive been watching the first and second post lately and well it speaks for itself. If I was in your shoes, Id strongly suggest you work backwards. Try understanding how the spark plugs work on your car.
The problem happened directly after you changed the plugs, so Id bet my money that it has to do with that. For example, you sure one of the coils (small springs) didnt fall out from inside the spark plug boot? Check all the boots for cracks aswell. Get yourself a pair of AC Delco plugs.
Good luck
early on in your first post people had told you what would more then likely be the problem but you were being too much of a tool to listen and kept buying brands of plugs other then AC Delco
GOT TOO DEALER AND BUY AC DELCO PLUGS
if you want to save some money ask for the trade price most places will give it too you no problem
start with that and replace the boots, plus if you replaced the IDI cover with a used one from the wreckers there is a possibility that you got a @!#$ one again so find someone with a known good one and try theirs
and MAKE SURE THE PLUGS ARE GAPPED PROPERLY it will tell you what they should be at on the sticker on the strut tower, you can even buy a gapper from CTC for like 5 bucks
the problem you were having is that you did not listen to what people were telling you, thats why there was so many problems you act like a tool and your are going to be treated like one
now listen to what people have to say and you will save alot of money and a whole lot of problems
I have tried several types of plugs, Bosch, NGK, Champion........they all run the same, I have tried 3 different IDI covers, and 3 sets of boots and they were inspected, so they are good. They are gapped at 0.060 like the book says, so I dont think ACDelco plugs will make a difference...........I heard NGK Iridiums are a good plug and thats whats in there now and still runs bad. Dealer would probably want $100 for 4 Delco plugs..........Stealership....I dont know what to do, Dad tells me to check the engine wiring harness.......I doubt its that
You should be able to get delcos from any auto parts store. Now gm knows what there doing when they make parts my truck ran like crap on anything but ac delco copper core plugs at the proper gap it would stall, miss, and backfire like a mother. I dont know how yours acts under load nut just try em $40 should get you a set of acdelco plugs. Also is your CEL on and do check all you grounds.
Every time you buy an import an American goes hungry.

notice how you say bosch, NGK and champion, all brands that 2.4's dont like
i said buy AC DELCO and the ones at parts stores are not the same
see this is what i ment by you not listening and i have never spent anymore then 50 bucks on them from the dealer, this is why i said ask for the trade discount
but like i said if you dont listen and want to take advice then so be it, but dont bitch when you cant figure out the problem when people are telling you the most common one
hell put your stock ones back in and see how it runs, by the sounds of it you only started having problems after you changed the plugs
Hmmm I could go grab a set of delcos from the scrapyard from a 2.4 and see how they run???? would that work?
the only problem about using the ones from a wrecker is that the seat of the spark plug there is a steel gasket its hard to say if they will be okay or not another thing is when did you do your timing belt last maybe it jumped a tooth or two but use new plugs when you get them....
It doesnt seem like timing, but Ill grab some Delcos from the scrapyard and try em. Canadian Tire here sells the AC Delco brand of plugs, but none for the Cavalier.
Wait wait wait... Scrapyard spark plugs????????
Some some Delcos to see if it makes a difference. If it does Ill go get a new set. Mine as well try the free way instead of selling something to get the moeny for them and have it not work!
you should sell that cavalier of yours to buy some delcos
not sure if you'll get enough to cover the cost of the plugs though.
seriously though, come on!!! where's the common sense here? you get what you pay for, and this is the most perfect example! you've changed over a dozen things on your car and all of that crap came from the yard!!!! for all we know you fixed the original problem but have since created another problem because you couldn't be bothered to pay for quality parts that DID NOT come from a yard.
I'd say call up Ricky and Julian, because Bubbles, my good friend, there's a s.hit storm a brewin, and the last thing you wanna do is be late for the cheesburger picnic
it's your car rejecting the painted interior.
you probably just have a simple bad ground. just take some sand paper to every one of them you can find. it'll take up some of your seemingly endless spare time and wont cost you fcuk all.
you could have a injector that is stuck open, hence the rich fuel smell and the smoke.
