My Cavalier!
Friday, March 21, 2008 6:25 PM
Hey I joined not too long ago and thought I would post pictures of my car! I got it November 2006. She will be getting painted some kind of nice metallic red this year so it will look better. I live in Woodstock, some of you may have seen the car already, and around London whenever I go there.....enjoy,

When I got it:

Few months after:

First set of rims, clear corners, black hood:

After 2nd engine blew, was sitting for a few months:

Mine and my buddies Cavi at the beach:

New rims and halos:

Glow Gauges:

10,000K HIDs:

Interior that took me forever:

Nice picture of my car!:

That's all I got for now, got white underglow, eibach sportlines 1.7 front 2.3 rear, to replace my B&G 1.6 all around springs(Which will be for sale after I switch them), and most of all waiting for the tax return to hurry up so I can put in the 5th 2.4 into it.....blown 4 of them, car has 176,000KMs LOL. 3rd Rod Bearing, everytime................comments are welcome!

I appreciate the work that went into that interior. I just wish I could get past the color scheme. The red-white festival you have going on is certainly. . . bold.

Lol where do you live, and what colours? I did mine and a buddies interior completely Silver/Black, no pics of that but looks good, his was all tan to begin with, ewwww. What would you pay to have it done, and you would have to leave your car with me for a day when its warm out so I can do it.

To each his own, it's my Cavalier and that's how I like it. I could say I don't like the new style front ends, but I don't.....

Hey Mike yeah I wanted to redo the door panel armrests, Ive seen people take the fabric off and it looks smooth and nice, I dont know how to do that, I saw on the back of the door panel that part is held in by "plastic welds" But if you destroy those to get the armrest part off.....there is no way to get it back on, do you know a way of doing this?

Yeah I redid mine. The piece that goes around the door handle is plastic welded, I just cut/melted the welds off then pulled the part off. The arm rests on my front doors pop into grooves and my rear ones clip in using metal tabs. To put the door handle piece back on I used velcrow, glue, 2way tape, some people use little screws. I really I just experimented each door presented its own problem.

why dont you swap the engine alltoghter if the 2.4 is giving you such a hard time swap in the ecotec

Too much work on a 97.....if I had a 2000+ yeah, you dont have to change the body harness and the engine one.............just the engine one on the 2000+.....

Get to work on your 2.4 swap i just did one took 8 hours

interior is alittle crazy but i respect the amount of work it took.

I used to be in the tan interior club too but i painted it all then i relised that looked like crap so i did a complete charcole.red spec interior swap on my 96.

Robbie your hard on motors maybe you should do alittle more maitnance there has to be a reason why you automatic is blowing up soo much

Ahahah I do oil changes every 5000K. put Lucas in the oil, Seafoam it before changing the oil, and put Lucas gas treatment through the gas quite a bit.............I dont see why they should blow up...............I do race a lot though.............
