So my car has been sitting in my friend's driveway since last June. Went to start it up today and nothing. Tried boosting it and nothing at all. I'm thinking that the battery is frozen so I brought it inside. What else could be frozen or stopping it from starting?

well mat did it have the proper strenghth of anti freeze in the rad and block if it froze you could have problems that way
chances are the battery is toast, try a different battery, if that doesn't work check your starter.
Prob the 2 best places to start
ShowFire
Not a good idea to try and charge or boost a frozen battery
Could have frozen fuel lines
Oil will be thick as hell
The anti-freeze is good. or at least was... not sure if it could have gone bad.
The car has NEVER given a single problem when i drove it daily.
What does everyone suggest I do? I need to start it to get it out of my friends driveway and into mine. Im towing it the distance between the houses but to park it here I need it to be running.
I plan on getting a new battery tomorrow (under warranty still) and trying it again.
Any advice would be great!
I was thinking it could be the starter as well, but Im doubting it. I say that because the car didnt re-act at all to being hooked up to my other car. the lights didnt turn on, there was no sound or sign whatsoever that any power was going into the car at all.

be careful boosting with your 300 i have been told that with the newer cars it frys the alternators
To be safe, plug in your block heater overnight before starting it, especially with the cold weather we have been having.
my friend suffered a similar fate a few weeks back. He went out and tried to start his car and like you said, no sound or anything. He went back in, came back out an hour later and it slowly cranked over and started. Not sure what the issue is dude but I agree with what has been said. If you do have a block heater then I would do as gtpsunfire said.
Charge the battery or replace it. With the car just sitting there like that the battery has crapped out on you. If you had no problems before, I can bet it's just a simple fix.
Do what Darren said. Plug in your block heater overnight first.
Yeah, it sounds like a battery issue. You could try hooking up a slow charger to it over night, and I'd definitely recommend plugging in the block heater. Since it's been sitting so long, almost all the oil will have settled and since it's been so cold lately, it's not gonna be quick to circulate. Not really a good situation. At least warming it will help the initial circulation.
clean your ground wires that go to the battery, when my car sat last winter I had the same problem and I tried everything, then I cleaned the ground and positive cables and it fired right up
Hey man I am a mechanic and numer one no starts this year is due to batteries if it foesn't even try to crank I have a brand new starter from delco in my tool box at work its for a 95-97 2.2 let me know 50.00 and let me know where you live if you need it i also have an altenator brand new from bosch if your close to orillia delivery is an option for a small fee...PEACE
I haven't tried again yet. Today is the day. I have my old battery sitting in my car, going to exchange it today.
I will definatly clean the connectors, im thinking wire brush??
I wish I could plug in the block heater, but I dont know where the plug is for it........
I'm thinking th e alternator may be gone as well, but that i'll wait to see. Its getting towed back to my hosue tomorrow, but Id like it to be running so that I can park it out of the way.
I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes and what problems I run into (sure to be at least a few).

Check for the block heater plug under the right headlight.
Hmmm .... hope it's ok for ya. I got so worried about mine I fired it up a little while ago after about 3 weeks in sub zeros and it fired on first crank thankfully. Battery was weak but not dead and everything warmed up great. Had to boost it once or twice last year so I keep a solar panel handy to give is slow trickle charge on nice days. Maybe that's been the diff.
I had a similar issue, my battery is toast, needs to be replaced.

Just an update:
I couldnt find the block heater plug. What really stopped me id say is the fact that the car was burried in a snow mountain and I couldnt even see the front bumper! I actually had to shovel the snow off the car, a brush wouldnt handle it! haha
I replaced the battery, cleaned the terminals really well (used liek half a bottle of battery cleaner) and went to fire it up..... first try it started without hesitation! Was realyl loud and ugly sounding at first so I let it sit for about 10 min running before I even touched it. Everythgin warmed up nicely. I was able tp pull it out of the driveway and back in. Now it sits awaiting the tow truck to bring it home, clean it up and re-list it for sale.
But the plus side fo it all is, the car started without hesitation or problem!!
