But not installed.

to the OP:

In all seriousness, especially in your case, get the proper type of struts (AGX Adjustables or Tokico D-SPecs) that are specifically MADE for lowering. It's not too much of a big deal for someone who does their own work (about 6-8 hours) who has to change the stock struts out every six months, since J's just litter junkyards. But you'll be crying six months from now when your stock struts blow out, and you have to fork out the $500 *again* to have the labour done - which ironically costs less then a good set of loweing struts.

Some people are just uncomfortable installing suspension... Particularly with the hazard a spring compressor presents.

i sure hope it doesnt take you 6-8 hours to change out a suspension. start to finish takes me roughly an hour-1.5 tops

The fact that I usually finish a twelve pack in the process could be part of the time issue... BUT, that is still a realistic time frame for a first timer double-and-triple checking the instructions so that he doesn't screw up.

Like said, some are uncomfortable, some are lazy (I've changed my oil numerous times, now I just get it done at Wal-Mart - friend works there - out of laziness.)
