bump. This car is decent, my cousin has a 2006 SS S/C and I know he paid a lot more than 16500 for his. This is a bargain, definitely a pocket rocket. Someone's gotta pick this up. I would love this car but going to University makes you really poor, good luck on ur sale.
Thanks guys, This is a tough time to sell.
Christ just keep it already

It is always a tough time to sell.
Either, buyers want 50% less than an item is worth, or sellers want 50% more than an item is worth ... and neither is willing to compromise.
Just take a look around the boards and see ppl trying to sell their junk for thousands upon thousands more than its actual value ... Js, Civics, Integras, sh1t box 3rd gen Camaros, are all prime examples ... Then when you see an actual deal pop up, no one has money and wants the item for 7K less than the asking price because their brothers cousins sisters nephews room mates insurance agents daughter got a similar car for that way under that price ... Vettes, LS1 parts, 4th gens, your car, etc.
Sure, there are a lot of underlying dynamics as to why this kind of situation exists ... over importance on dime a dozen econobox grocery getters, the whole 'some rich kid with Dads money will buy it' syndrome (which is pretty much a pipe dream), lack of interest in performance vehicles, etc ... but none of that matters. What matters is trying to sell your stuff without being ripped off.
Best of luck with the sale.

Well said.
I've not had an offer over $14k on this car and I'd not even take those as very serious. I've had 2 kids deadbeat me and have me waiting for them an hour drive from home just for them not not show. I've had people personally e-mail me to tell me the car does infact not have stage 2 installed ?! Many offers of a straight up trade for 3rd gen Cavaliers..seriously. A million kids wanting to see pictures, ask a million questions then tell me they have no money...like $0. I know this is the game, but I'm at the point where it's gonna sit in my garage again for the winter and I'll see how I feel in the spring.
I mean, am I asking THAT much for the car? KBB is $16500.
Ah well, this is what you get for owning a car that is marketed towards the younger crowd.
thats a really reasonable price. i would love to pick that up if i wasn't still making payments on my cavalier.
$16,500 is a good deal, we sold a wrecked one for $10,000 at work last month and another this week for $8,500. so $16,500 for a clean slightly modified one sound really good to me.
good luck with the sale, i really wish i could afford it.
