Racetech???
Monday, May 28, 2007 4:20 PM
I stopped by Racetech today, and they are all cleared out! Does anyone know if they have closed down, or moved or something? If they have closed down, is there any news where Joe and Rick ended up, I hope the landed on their feet.

Wouldn't you know it, I was just trying to find their website today. Damn. I bought a bunch of stuff from them and even had them install my header. A good bunch of guys.

From what I have been told, it was hard to keep above water, so joe closed it up. He was offered a job working with his machinery @ another shop, making more steady pay.

I heard rick had a little trouble with doing a "leakless" job in that area. He blamed my old school RK 4-1 Though..../ THat I didn't have Urethane mounts in...

I had the mounts, and still had the problem. I blame the 2-bolt flange that was used, should have been at least a 3-bolt. By the time I got rid of the flange altogether (actually filled it completely with weld, no more leak!), it was bent so badly that there was no way in hell it'd ever seal anything.

So I'm not the only one who had a leaking 2 bolt flange. And to think I had to ask for the flange he was going to weld it all one piece, down pipe to muffler.
