i was wondering if anyone stocks 03 ecotec intakes cheap, or if someone could simply make me a intake pipe for my car?
reason being is im having issues with my hood and strut bar the orig intake is causing the strut bar not to fit properly and inturn i believe lifting the top driver side of my hood up.
i donno where ur located bro but if ur located near toronto check out racetech.... i don't kno there number off by hand but just go to goole and type in racetech and then u'll find em
thnks for the replies but im not looking something that will cost me more then 100. Im located in winnipeg. maybe if someone has a short air intake tube there not using or knows how to make one.
E bay<------------ why pay alot of money for a peice of tube and a filter? or even go to canadian tire, pick yourself up some dryer tube with a cone filter lol it has been done and its cheep!
But check E bay for sure I paid like 30 bucks with shipping for mine

lol true ill probly take a look what could be done i made my own intake for my saturn couple years back. just hoping someone had one laying around they didnt need thats all.
I'm pretty sure the Ecotec motor has the T/B at the front of the car not near the firewall, and unless your current intake circles your motor I'm pretty sure this would not interfer with your strut bar. If your talking about the 2200 LN2 motor... well that's a different story. I think to only option that will work for you would be the GM strut bar. Hope that helps. I don't want you making the wrong purchase....
Or take a picture ..... pictures are always fun
the hood sticks up because im using a modified stock intake and stock intakes dont fit well with strut bars atleast mine doesnt. So im just looking at replacing the stock intake with something so i can get ride of all the plastic piping etc. then my strut bar will finally fit right and i dont have a issue with my hood

oh dear god. please that just way to getto... if you gonna be getto at leaset use some exhaoust pipe and silicone connecters found in the plumbing ailse.
here 2 that ive done so far
may cavfire 2.4 (pretty old pics from last fall)
buddies cav 2.2
I thought mine was ghetto, but it's a warm air intake. I'm scared of getting hydrolocked from flooded streets or car-sized potholes full of water that looks like a puddle.
